just wondering if somebody can verbalize how to get this reddish effect:
Rihanna-Only-Girl-In-The-World.jpg

i tried the gradient tool but i don't want to make the girl in the pic too red, and when i select everything but her it looks weird. is there another way?

Color balance. Slide it over to the red side. You can even desaturate your photo a little to give the red a more vibrant look.

And or

Make a new layer with a red Rectangle or Add Red paint to it on top of the layer with the picture
and play with the Layer Modes and bring down the opacity,  Overlay usually does the trick.

Or you could use the Eyedropper tool to sample the color from the aforementioned images.

Open an image, create a new layer, fill it with that color and manipulate it via one of many Layer Blend Modes.

You have to color balance plus fade point to the nearest red radiant quadrant
Your welcome
