Planning a trip to the Caribbean next month, best place to visit in the region?

Hello fellow peeps, just decided that me and a lucky lady are going on a trip next month, I have already decided on the Caribbean as far as a general location, but would like some help picking the exact destination. I am half jamaican, and have been there several times, and as much as I loved it, would like to go elsewhere, I have also been to Puerto Rico as well. Any suggestions by people who have better explored the region would be greatly appreciated. Best beaches, night life ect...

I was going to say Puerto Rico but you have been there already. I don't really recommend the Bahamas because it is so touristy that it is OD expensive. I've heard Aruba is a great place to go for R&R
