Right now I'm in love with the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. If I had the funds, I'd def cop. 10 year/100,000 mile warranty too.

If I PERSONALLY had $30-$35K to spend on a whip, I'd grab something above. Basically, I'd get a car that OG MSRP is way above what I'd actually be paying. More bang for your buck. And vehicles are built so much better these days. A 2006 and up can run FLAWLESSLY for years to come...

But give us an idea of what kinda whip you want. Coupe? Sedan? SUV? Small? Large? Gas efficient? Stuntastic? Fast? We need some details...

More clarification is needed.  How do you rank your needs?
Reliablility and low cost to maintain was my main selling points when i bought my car. ('09 corolla S).  Then gas milage. Speed was dead last since i drive 65 miles to work each day.  Looking good mattered thats why i got an S over a stock CE.
But if looking cool is top over reliability i like a lot of the suggestions in here

Love the genesis coupe
Mazdaspeed 3
Civic si
Suburu WRX

One thing to keep in mind is the gas prices. Read some of the info available on "the internets" & you'll see oil is going steadily up & will continue to stay at high levels.Based on what I've read, you will no longer see oil (gas) prices go down anymore.

If you make good dough, buying a V6, SUV, or a car requiring premium fuel shouldn't be a problem for you. If gas prices will be an issue, then I'd suggest against almost everything NTers are pointing out. I've had a Jetta & a Passat wagon. Great cars, but both had lots of quality control issues, so much so that I sold them to Car Max. Maintenance costs are also a higher than a Japanese car (German car-makers are offering nice maintenance plans now though).

I've had a Honda Accord for some time now. I think I have about 127k miles on it & still running well (knock on wood). Only major work I've ever need was replacement of steering fluid (twice) a new catalytic converter which was replaced at apprx 105k.

That's my two cents..

get an Acura TSX, Lexus IS250 or Infiniti G35. American Cars are Garbage, and German the parts are to expensive the cheapest to serive out of these 3 would probably be the TSX

I love how OP asks for a suggestion that gets good gas mileage, so people post up a Chally SRT, a Chevy Silverado, and a Escalade. LOL
