Bunch of stuff went wrong today. The play calling was terrible and the offense didn't show up. I still don't get why Chip accepted that penalty and why didn't you run it on 3rd down.
On the bright side starting the season 3-1 is still pretty good. Gear up and get ready for the Rams.

Chip is too much of a gambler for my liking. That 3rd down in Eagles redzone territory where San Fran got the flag should've been declined to get to 4th down...instead Chip idiotically accepts it, and on 3rd and 13 Kaepernick runs a bootleg for the 1st, so you effectively give them more time to call plays JUST to get the same result on the scoreboard you would've got if you had declined the damn penalty...
Foles was very noticeably shaky out there. Even with a banged up O-line, dude was routinely missing throws he should've made.
Also McCoy hasn't had a decent game since the season began. That block he missed on that 3rd down in Niner territory was huge..and that could've been the td the Eagles needed to win this game...
I'm surprised how inconsistent this team plays this season. I thought the defense would be improved, nope...we're 30th in the pass, and we give up too many yards on the ground...
Aside from a few key plays, and the 49ers making stupid penalties and mistakes along the way, the Eagles looked like crap out there. What's the point of running a sped up offense if your QB is getting beat up, the backs can't get anything going, and the O-line can't stay healthy...and we're not even halfway through the season...:x

Our secondary is plexiglass. Cary is always getting penalized for something, but dudes like Fletcher are not exactly up to par either. I will give the guys up front props for getting pressure on Kaep, especially Thornton...but everything beyond that line was and is mediocre at best...Crabtree was making catches all over the place it seemed like today..smh

Most of those catches were against Cary. Fletcher made some dumb plays and losing Boykins didn't help. And where was Celek? I don't recall hearing his name once...did he get hurt or something that I missed?

that was some awful playcallng and coaching. Foles/Mccoy laid an egg today gambling way too much. D-fense did alright considering they played almost all of the 60 minutes. Damn how i i miss Dawkins, lito sheppard and Trotter on defense.

The defense (sans number 26) did good enough to win today so I won't even blame them. Offense on the other hand were absolutely pathetic. Terrible blocking, terrible passing, terrible running and terrible ball security.
No matter how bad we were throughout we had 2 chances from the 2 yard line and didn't give it to Shady one time, that upset me more than anything else. We need to have a complete game next week against an inferior team, I'm tired of these close ones

The squad is 3-1 through the first quarter of the season. I do think our record is deceiving in terms of the current state of the team, but you can't deny the fight in this team. Hopefully chip continues to learn and adjust

I was trying to tell y'all earlier the only reason Cooper had a good year last year is cause DJax was balling even with consistent man up/safety assistance against him. He was able to eat well cause of Djax's ability to stretch the field. Racist Riley is not that dude. Jordy Nelson he most certainly isn't. He doesn't crack the top 20 white guy receiver hall of game.

Whenever we're in a short yardage situation on 3rd or going for it on 4th, we always run it.. So I don't get why we didn't either of those 2 times
Like after the 2nd down run picked up positive yardage., I could have sworn we would run up quickly and run the play, just to get them before they had time to set

Same here. Chip was trying to explain it, according to him, the mccoy run of 5 yards was because they surprised the 9ers when they expected us to run it. He didn't like the other looks and apparently didn't believe we could pick up a couple of yards or 1.5 whatever it was with 2 tries. IMO you have GOT to give shady the opportunity there.

Man Chip needs to just accept he flubbed it in the red zone. Foles was wack sauce pretty much all game, overthrows, looking scared in the pocket, etc, don't know why he left it would have been such a difference in the clutch, and he overthrew the last pass ...I think last years rushing yards leader should have gotten at least one more shot at the end zone. Even if we threw it on fourth I wouldn't have been so irate. And why the bootleg with such a slow QB where no one really sees him as a threat. A QB draw would have been more convincing. Hindsight is 20/20 but I was complaining as the plays happened. And afterward.
