It was a dissapointment to both hardcores and casual fans. We didn't expect a bloodbath, but we did expect them to go out on their shield at times and give us our money's worth. If Canelo vs Kirkland was on the undercard last weekend, it would've stolen the show, easy.

Wanted Kirkland to win, only because nobody wanted to bet me if I picked Canelo. Good fight nonetheless, definitely will be in a lot of gif images from users in boxing forums. They tried hard to hype up Canelo (HBO team) because their cash superstar cow Manny lost. But if they put Canelo in with GGG, I don't think Canelo will be the same.

Oh well, ignorance and poverty, two things that seem impossible to overcome at times.
I will say this, I do believe I am more excited to see the May/Pac Epilogue, than I was to see the fight, probably because the fight is over now, and nothing has changed.
I want to hear Floyd's take, and his only, he's the Champ, the only opinion I value at this point.
I'm on it.

Which fight is expected to be more competitive .... The Cotto fight in June or the Khan vs Algieri fight this month ?

The energy at the Cotto fight is going to be greater, obviously. But unlike most people, I actually think Khan-Algieri is an interesting match as far as styles. Go to both if you can.

Then the megafight of the rematch, PFB will set his terms and bid himself to the highest bidder (Showtime/HBO) and fight one of the two. Both will still have a tremendous following and generate a lot of viewers (not 5 million, but 2+ is good enough) and set himself up for one more payday.
But I just wanna see GGG tbh, ain't happening against Floyd, but eventually with Canelo.

Cotto is a title holder at 160, next fight will be his 2nd at that division. This was Canelos 3rd fight above 154, so they been moved up. but i agree, ggg demolishes both of them.

I doubt Canelo fights GGG soon even though he says he is willing to. The smart thing for Canelo to do is wait for GGG's name to get bigger and to age, all while he grows to his physical prime. The guy he should go after next is Cotto to get the straps. Maybe in a year or so the Canelo-GGG fight will come to fruition.

Cotto-Canelo is definitely next. Canelo was just saying he's willing to fight GGG in the future. I would expect big drama from Cotto or Canelo after their big matchup. No reason to do that before.
Love Canelo's power combos. Kinda reminds me of JMM - counter punching with big powerful combinations. Uppercuts, hooks to the body. Great fight on his part. Kirkland had heart but not much else. Maybe he thought he'd intimidate him by starting and swinging for the fences. Canelo is too patient for that. Almost killed him.

Excellent fight from Canelo. I don't think Cotto wants that fight but I could be wrong. I would love to see Cotto and GGG but I don't think Oscar would risk that fight with his main star just yet. Canelo is one of the few guys GBP has so until that lawsuit with Haymon works itself out I don't think Canelo will fight GGG.

I honestly feel that GGG is somewhat over rated. He has extreme power and skill but it isn't like he has fought anyone that impressive yet. Although there are some good wins on his record just not great. I think GGG is still on the rise and will be a star of the sport.
