I get it, make a cool half million and retire in front of your family and friends in Brooklyn. Paulie looked like a guy going through a mid life crisis last night. Always liked Paulie, at this stage though he's much better off as a commentator. I could see Garcia fighting Porter next. Thurman ain't happening. Would be great to see Chino get some motivation and get revenge for his fellow countryman in Matthysse.

I don't know if Porter works Garcia. Danny hasn't looked good since Matthyse, but all his struggling has been against slick boxers, not brawlers like Porter.
I think I'd actually favor DSG because Porter still fights too wild. Guaranteed he catches some hard counter hooks against Danny.

I got into an argument at the barbershop, dude tried to tell me that andre ward would beat the breaks off GGG and would even KO him.
His comparison was the GGG vs monroe fight, sayin he got exposed.
While i agree that he did get exposed SOMEWHAT, But not fully. I dont recall seein gennady doin the stanky leg or NOT continue to keep movin forward and apply pressure to monroe.
I mean, the fight got stopped how the hell did monroe almost have a chance to get that W??

Ward would beat GGG. Dude aint fight in over a year and made that last dude look foolish. And while i think GGG purposely sold himself short by allowing Monroe to hit him, I still dont think his defense is proven enough to beat Ward. Ward is a HUGE step up in talent & skills for GGG compared to the other guys hes faced while Ward has shown he can go against some good comp

Agree with everything here. I think if they fought, Ward would be able to box effectively, manage distance and keep GGG away in a boring decision W.

I think Ward's inactivity has caused some people to severely underestimate his talent and ability. People might not like his style but his resume is legitimate. When active, he is top 3 on most reputable p4p lists. I like GGG but there is a reason his team wants that fight at 164. I understand if people think Paul Smith wasn't the best opponent and Ward didn't look his best but when you're off for almost two years and you fight a guy that missed weight, Ward did pretty good.
