In other news, Froch is gonna have to make a choice soon.
Froch ordered to negotiate fight with DeGale.
Unified super middleweight titlist Carl Froch is going to have to make a decision soon about what he wants to do next.
Although England’s Froch has stated his desire for a major fight in Las Vegas, potentially against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (who would first have to work out his contract dispute with Top Rank before he fights Froch or anyone else), he also has a mandatory defense of one of his belts due against countryman James DeGale (20-1, 14 KO).

Lindsey Tucker, the championship chairman of the IBF, told ESPN.com that the organization sent a letter on Dec. 31 to Froch and DeGale -- who are both promoted by Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing -- ordering them to begin the negotiation process.
The camps have 30 days to make a deal, otherwise the IBF will order a purse bid, which would be a 75-25 split in favor of Froch (33-2, 24 KOs). Froch could always vacate that version of the 168-pound title and fight somebody else, in which case DeGale would fight a challenger appointed by the IBF for the vacant belt.
DeGale, a 2008 Olympic gold medalist, became Froch’s mandatory challenger by virtue of his fourth-round knockout of Brandon Gonzales on May 31 in a title eliminator on the undercard of Froch’s spectacular eighth-round knockout of George Groves in their rematch in front of some 80,000 at Wembley Stadium in London.
DeGale stayed busy with a third-round knockout victory against former world title challenger Marco Antonio Periban on Nov. 22. Froch has not fought since the rematch with Groves.

I think he's been through such a gauntlet the last six years that he deserves more than anyone in the game to wait around for a big Vegas payday.
