Not that any of the three will come close but I'll roll with Brook. Khan as we all know is the most likely to get KO'd. Thurman is the future but when Guerrero didn't back down he didn't respond against adversity the way I thought he would. He kind of backed off. I've only seen Brook fight once and his performance against Porter was impressive. But can he make it to fight night without getting maimed?Who would give Mayweather a better fight : Brook, Khan, Or Thurman?
What does vacating his titles do for him though..?
Financially, nothing. No mandatory challengers? What does vacating his titles do for him though..?
I gotta say. Looking back on it, I think this might have been Floyd's easiest fight since Ricky Hatton? JMM?
Canelo, Maidana, Mosley, Cotto, those guys at least touched Floyd up a little bit. Got some shots in.
Don't buy into the hype when the crowd went nuts over Manny flurries. Manny would hit Floyd, go on a flurry where he misses literally every shot, and the crowd went nuts. That's how Manny won two-to-four rounds. But Floyd Mayweather just made the most prolific volume puncher of this generation crumble to his knees. That straight right kept Manny at bay all night. Manny was so clueless out there not being able to throw 100+ punches a round.
I know it may seem dramatic, but it was really easy work for Floyd. At least these other guys facing Floyd had a plan that might rough up PBF.
It wouldn't be surprising to me if in ten years, Floyd says this was his easiest fight of his superstar career (post-DLH). He made Manny look like he didn't even belong in the ring with him.
You take two dudes who know nothing about boxing, know nothing of who Manny or Floyd is, and have them watch this fight, and they'd think that Manny was an amateur in there.
Take note y'all.
#TBE.
@ people actually thinking Manny had any kind of chance going into this fight. The only way Manny had a chance was if Floyd was stupid and was reckless. We've never seen it out of him.
On the subject of Mayweather stopping at 49-0? Damn. I find it really hard to believe that he wouldn't want to beat Rocky's record, but we'll see.
If he only has one more fight in him, I'd want to see him fight Khan. I think One Time would be great in like a year or two, but right now he can't beat Floyd. The best chance you have against PBF is to counter his speed. The only guy that can do that is Khan. Regardless of who he fights, he's winning.
Floyd has a very high probability of not just going undefeated throughout his career, but to NEVER taste the canvas.
They just said on ESPN that him doing that allows him to not have to pay sanctions towards the commission or something like that.Financially, nothing. No mandatory challengers?
Actually Hatton did have his moments in that fight, him getting countered and landing on the ropes is the highlight that everybody remembers most though.
We have to realize Maywether is on a level that no other active is on.
It would be hard for khan to fight in September coming off ramadan i dont think it can happen in september if he gets a shotI really don't know who would be a good match up for Floyd next. I'm guessing Khan is most realistic option if Canelo Vs. Cotto is gonna happen.
Who would give Mayweather a better fight : Brook, Khan, Or Thurman?
Did wahlburg have a bet against diddy?
Realistically speaking, if Floyd fights in September like he says who is his last opponent? We know who it won't be:
Canelo rematch - upcoming fight with Kirkland would mean getting right back into camp. Cotto fight to follow.
Cotto rematch - upcoming fight with Geale and a looming bout with Canelo.
Khan - will be observing Ramadan
Pacquiao - not nearly as much money will be made to watch another dusting of Manny.
Who might get their shot at Floyd?
Kell Brook - Ranked as the #2 contender by Ring Magazine at 147 behind Pacquiao IBF champ
Tim Bradley - Ranked #4 by Ring Magazine at 147
Keith Thurman - Ranked #5 by Ring Magazine at 147
Shawn Porter - Ranked #7 at 147 by Ring Magazine
Gennady Golovkin - Top ranked fighter at 160 and said in the past he's willing to move down to 154 to fight Mayweather.
Erislandy Lara - Ranked #2 contender at 154 by Ring Magazine
Demetrius Andrade - Ranked #4 at 154 and WBO champ
