watched the first ep of game of thrones and got so bored, i deleted the whole first season from my comp and never watched any more.

I can see that. I had a similar view when I 1st tried to watch it, but it really picks on steam by the 3rd or 4th episode. The following seasons are very good as well. You should give it another try.
