Okay I might have exaggerated. 10minsY'all were a little too silent when he posted that so I thought y'all were in that 5 minute club too
That's why I laughed. Man's was trying to get the minute men to out themselves.Y'all were a little too silent when he posted that so I thought y'all were in that 5 minute club too
You’d be surprised… Obviously I’m sure there are plenty who use porn in a healthy way but these days I’m seeing commercials for ED medication that’s advertised towards younger men and I can’t help but think that porn today has a lot to do with that. At my meetings I’m seeing a lot more young guys come in who are struggling with a porn addiction. It’s just a lot easier to be addicted to it because of how easily accessible it is these days, just my observation.Obviously if you're whacking for hours a day to it you got issues, but how many people really do that?
That's odd, why would you just assume this out of nowhere? What data are you working on?So porn has been easily accessible for more than 20 years now. Since broadband internet was available. A lot of people who grew up with porn should be having kids and families by now.
I really don't see it as any more harmful then anything else on the internet. I think there's other things on social media that are actually more harmful. Like the stuff that gives people unrealistic expectations of how their lives are going to turn out.

Social media has created a climate where it seems okay for women to be OD sexual & it's not looked at as perverted/weird behavior.
Twitter installed that stupid *** for you tab, & just scrolling that just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Like it's 8AM why am i seeing your naked *** on my TL already, why do some of these women feel the need to talk about nothing but their sexual experiences in Public.
Go look under one of these "bad chicks" comments & the women are saying the same kinda thirsty/weird **** that the dudes do.
The group of women who try to push sex work & only fans content as empowering etc etc
it
Not sure which person on here recently said this but if that, "For You" tab is showing you THAT it's because of the things that you are already browsing/subscribing to/following. That is complete #UserError
I get your concern but it's easily avoidable. YOU set your algorithm.
But yea, they are also creeps. But it is what it is.
Ya'll give these algorithms entirely too much credit. IDGAF about a good 70% of the content that is shown under the for you tab, & it is representative of my regular timeline.
What do you mean we give the algorithms too much credit?
The content you browse/engage in will be the content that pops up on your feed.
You must be engaging in SOME sort of "that" stuff for it to be coming on your feed, no?
Anything on my, "For You" tab is stuff I care about. More than 95% of it fits what my online habits are.
Not trying to argue so don't take it personally please.

trynafeelmink I get what you are saying about seeing stuff that your followers are retweeting/posting/following as well.
Question, when you say 70% of the stuff suggested to you on SM is stuff you don't care about, what are some of those subject matters? And what are you following/doing that you THINK might have given the formula reason to think you WOULD be interested in those things?
I come in Peace, just having a conversation.

Additionally there are other humor/meme pages that throw in sponsored content and random plugs for OF girls, so even if you follow the page for the humor you still end up seeing the OF girls/IG models. Also if you follow any IG fitness pages the chance of half-naked girls popping up on your feed is basically 100%.Algo people like to argue it's strictly your browsing habits that determine what you see but we've all been online long enough to know that's not entirely black and white. You don't control what your friends post, nor what link it sees/doesn't see as relevant. You could have a totally valid feed tuned to only carpentry, just the nature of how current attention works, someone will be doing carpentry in a bikini. Then it comes down to oh you like that? The color palette? Other similarly dressed content? Some of your other friends like this which might be similar. Oh you blocked these items? Here's the discussion other people who blocked these items are having etc. etc.
dude tripping only 2 minutes and u done
exactlyMan it doesnt take much for the algorithim to shift. I follow 179 people, and I have everyone muted except like 10 people (family and 3 celebs). I primarily interact with food and basketball videos. So all of my suggested posts are typically that. My wife sent me a funny video about parenting, and I saved it. After that I was getting flooded with "suggested posts" all about parenthood. AInt seen a hoops video since lol. I didnt search for that parenting video, it was sent to me, and I saved it. So not all things that appear on the time line are purely indicative of what youre looking for or your interests.
It is and Tik tok is way worstIG is porn
