Porn does a lot more harm than good and is a serious problem

These pornstars are making some serious ****. Esp the ******** chicks. Some became millionaires within a few months. I cant knock their career choices.

what does take them seriously mean?
It means they don't deserve hatred for their choices, but anyone who sits in a hotel all day waiting for tricks to come and drop their load, or anyone who makes a living polishing poles on film likely doesn't approach life with sensible logic. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule.

i saw a ******** billboard a few weeks ago never would have imagined

yes

I just read their whole statement.

Actually, they've disabled their site in Texas over this. I would imagine it had something to do with providing a photo id to prove your age.

Dang so this happened today. The nasty shops are back in business! This confirms what I've been saying since I moved here. EVERYONE in Texas ins conservative. They try to say cities like Austin and Houston are liberal. Nope. They are just LESS conservative than everyone else. The funny thing is it all goes out the window behind closed doors. I bet them "SPAs" are about to start popping backup, too.

Y’all just need a VPN to get around it. With that said I’m no conservative but I believe today’s porn does more harm than good and *******’s excuse for blocking the site for states that require ID is bogus. They don’t like it because it cuts their traffic, not because they care about people’s privacy. They don’t care that 10 years old are watching their stuff and they don’t care about the damage it is doing to those 10 year olds.

I think the dangers of porn are overstated, at least from the consumer side of things.

At the end of the day it's up to the consumer to be able to differentiate fantasy from reality and develop a healthy view of sexuality the same way it's up to them to do so with violent video games/movies and other forms of media with explicit content.

I also don't understand the "porn these days" talk. Anyone that grew up in the early 2000s could tell you about the messed up porn that was around back then.

Yes maybe if someone discovers internet porn when they’re a full blown adult but it’s kids finding this **** out at 9-10 years old and they can’t know healthy sexuality because the subject of sex is taboo and their parents don’t talk to them about it.

And the porn of the 2000 plus is what I’m talking about, porn from then compared to porn of the 80s and even 90s is a lot more graphic and there’s so much of it that you can find on any site these days that aren’t porn sites (Reddit, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Tik tok). And don’t get me started on how normalized the step sister/mom stuff is these days.

I feel like most kids end up discovering porn around late elementary school/early middle school. Watching scramble porn and looking through my friends' dad's magazines was definitely a thing during 5th grade sleepovers.

Sex ed exists. Sex doesn't HAVE to be taboo. Parents CAN talk to their kids about sex and help ensure the development of a healthy relationship with sex. Choosing to neglect these discussions because they're uncomfortable to talk about with your kids is an individual failing and is irrespective of the existence of porn.

Yes but you gotta admit that there is a HUGE difference between scramble porn and magazine photos vs 4K porn that those kids have access to on their iPhones. With that said I still feel like 5th grade is way too damn early to be discovering porn, even magazines but that’s just my opinion.

And i agree completely with you on your second paragraph but the reality is we aren’t there yet and a lot of kids get their sex Ed from porn, porn that is misogynistic and extreme, that ain’t how the kids should be learning about sex but that’s how they do.

I first was introduced to pron in the 4th grade. A buddy from school that lived on my street called me and our other buddy who was my neighbor over to his house. His cousin, who was in Junior High, was over visiting and had a vhs tape.

what happened next?

His cousin just skimmed through the tape. Showed us a minute or two of each scene. My neighbor buddy sister tagged along. She was also in Junior High. What’s funny is, she kept freaking out during the scenes, but wanted to keep watching.

Much like rappers, the Vast majority are making little to nothing while a limited (visible) few are making good money.

The career choice definitely can be knocked.

It doesn't work out in favor for most of them.
