MUCH RESPECT to you sir! Sad thing is majority of the people on here just hopped on to the Balenciaga band wagon especially the Arena because it was being bombarded in their face every time they would see this thread about a year ago and Kanye didn't help. I'll keep it G I wasn't even a fan of the Arena however I did like the Red so I copped. Other than that I'm good. Sometimes we fall into the hype of things without really taking into account if we TRULY like what we are buying. So again props to you for being true to yourself.

Rep +1 i got on them late but sometimes kicks just grow on you. I just hate when the resellers catch on to them.......like.now! Use to catch 11 or 12 on ebay now its almost 100!

I feel u dude.... But Give it a sec before u write em off.. Sometimes it takes a min or 2 for things to grow on you. There's some pieces that I wrote off way to quick in da past and when it grew on me it was too late, couldnt find em. Besides, the Red Arenas are a staple and should b in ur closet, part of your rotation to pull out every now and then.. Just my 2 cents..

^ I appreciate the kind words and advice guys, but they are on their way back already. I figure if I want a pair down the road I'll take the time to go in and try multiple pairs on before rushing into a decision. For now i'll move that cash to bolster my DB wardrobe and take a trip

You sir need to stop playing games before it's too late. They are too hard and not to mention the retail price of $650 is pretty darn decent for a MMM shoe. Most of them go for like $800+ I wasn't even hip to them but when I saw them I was like I had to cop. They are Have you ever had shoes without shoe strings?!

Anyone got the drop on when the hi top black balenciaga pleated will drop on a restock? I missed the lncc restock because I didn't know my size, so I didn't want to pick up too many pairs. I found out the 44 were a perfect mold of my foot. Very pleased.

I doubt they'll be anymore restocks as they initially came out some months ago and restocked several times across major high end distributors at least in the United States. Not to mention Balencaiga will be discounting the Pleated style.

That is a rumor that Mr 100 said he was still unsure of. Why would they discontinue their best selling shoe behind the arenas? I understand it might be labor intensive but they do charge more for the cotes so who knows.

I do not frequent Niketalk alot these days to go a rumor or by what Mr. 100 says as I did not base my statement from what he said. I am close with the people at Balenciaga and that's what they told me, so with that being said that's what I'll go by off of. If they decide to change their mind that's fine. Understand this is a high end brand not Jordan Brand it's not about money majority of the time when it comes to most high end brands, it about what's new and fresh. Have you seen Louis Vuitton keep putting out the same shoe over and over again? No. They will even go as far to destroy the items that doesn't sell so it's not about money. Fashion is about being hip and staying current with the trends and seasons. If Balenciaga keeps releasing the same shoe over and over again the brand would eventually get boring. They've released White, Black, Grey, Blue, Orange, Light Green, Red, Off White in the Pleated that's quite a few. If you've seen there upcoming fall collection they are going to play with the Cotes style and switch it up with material and print not to mention the Pleated is still the Cotes style just with Pleats. Things never last forever remember that.

Lots of good information in your post mixed with basic information that I already have a firm understanding of. Your comparison to the Jordan brand are not quite accurate as Jordan limits releases and goes 10 years before releasing the same shoe again. They could sell Jordan all year round and it would be the number one seller but exclusivity is more valuable then the potential sales.

You can't compare Louis Vuitton to any other manufacture as they have complete control over their product from start to finish, and will do anything to protect the brand. This includes shuting down the store-in-a-store concepts and limiting the number of new stores that open. There was an interesting artical on LVHM in WSJ on Tuesday I believe.

I was not aware of your relationship to any one at Balenciaga but since Mr. 100 heard the same thing I believe it is a great posiblity for them to be discontinued. I have seen some of the F/W and I am not impressed so far. The hi-top pleated cotes are perfect in design to me so I would hate to see them go.

I second everything that was said. Balenciaga is gone with pleats from what I have seen in the FW13.

We will see, the arena style is about 3 to 4 yrs old now. A change should be coming. When I say style I mean its current design.
