Yea it sucks. I'm on my way to cl now to see what happens. Really don't want to get the credit card company involved (debit card) but might have to because Im not looking to pay no 1350 for a shoe that'll fall apart before I even try it on.@alp dang bro sorry that happened to you, especially a bday gift.

I think they are female sneakersanybody have any info on those celine love life slip ons? would like to get them as a gift...
Oh ok wasn't really paying attention to the partHence why he mentioned getting them as a gift.
definitely, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth after getting excited seeing em and then having it fall apart before you even take your first steps
I learned my lesson though. I heard about it being an issue, just didn't know it was this prevalent. I might even have a defective pair. I was wondering why most department stores didn't carry em, I'm guessing part of the reason is this. There would be a lot of complaints, and deservedly so
Yeah it's terrible. From now on when I'm dropping that kind of bread on some shoes I'm gonna do extensive research to make sure that doesn't happen again. I'll stop by the Washington st store and see if they have anything nice to replace it with. Regardless I doubt I'll be buying louboutin anytime soonIf you have a defective pair than every pair is defective, which means it's just poor attention to craftsmanship of their products they just increased the price on but the quality is decreased. Christian Louboutin knows of spikes falling off hence newer spiked footwear coming with an extra spikes pouch. Most department stores don't carry them because only a few high end retail stores besides Barney's New York carry Men's Christian Louboutin footwear and regardless of the quality issue are popular and sell out very quickly. As for complaints, who would one complain to? The non brand store of the shoe that just carries the shoe? No, the ones that do buy from the boutique would complain and simply the representative says come by our store and we will fix it, and give you extra spikes, which is only a temporary fix for a major a problem. The reason why they don't use screw in spikes, is beyond me. I'm just glad no spikes on mine have fallen off, granted they're from many seasons ago.
they might, but either you would have to pay for the spikes or take them to a shoe repair place. CL has a few spots they recommend on their website.Makes me nervous to wear my pair now. Got them a few years ago on ebay and the closest cl store is nyc and im in toronto. Does anybody know if they would give me extra spikes even though I have no receipt they are from like 3 years ago?
Thanks for the info. Just checked my cl and they were made in italy so I should be ok.they might, but either you would have to pay for the spikes or take them to a shoe repair place. CL has a few spots they recommend on their website.
I think the issue started last year when they switched production from Italy to EU(SPAIN). This occurred with an increase in price and decrease in quality. Guys in here that have the Italy pairs have not had this problem form what I have seen.
I personally am just going to wear my pair and If the spikes fall off so be it. Ill buy some red, orange and mulit color spikes and make my own custom CL.
If I buy CL in the future (or anyone else in this thread for that matter) id be very weary of the spiked pairs.
yeah that's good, although im not that much of an expert on cl, hopefully someone on here that has a few pairs from both Italy and eu pairs can chime in, or at least has the Italy pairs. what color do you have anyway? Thanks for the info. Just checked my cl and they were made in italy so I should be ok.
Not sure what the actual color name is. I think it said alba on the box. Anyway this is my pair......yeah that's good, although im not that much of an expert on cl, hopefully someone on here that has a few pairs from both Italy and eu pairs can chime in, or at least has the Italy pairs. what color do you have anyway?
oh I remember you posted them up a few months ago, very nice. Not sure what the actual color name is. I think it said alba on the box. Anyway this is my pair......
yeah department stores have different return policies. For example I was reading on purseblog (googled the spike thing yesterday, not on any purse forum ) and some women were discussing the same issue I have now and one that bought a pair at saks and had that happen to them was able to return their pair for a full refund. Then its up to the department store to send that pair back to CL or do whatever they gotta do. Not too many companies are willing to put up with that (being that the spikes falling off is commonplace now) hence the limited amount of boutiques carrying CL. Also CL makes it a ***** to get an account with himalp I know what you mean by complaints to department stores, people would be trying to return worn pairs cuz spikes fell off after the first wear lol.
but let an LV shoe get super popular to the point they can keep restocking it. the quality would go down just like every other brand. I'm not sure if it has to do with overhead costs or just production methods but the higher quantity something is produced, the quality inevitably goes down every time
YSL fixed the price on the 10H model
