Those are all great ideas although I believe that there are a few Musashi films that were already made by smaller studios in Japan. Musashi is very interesting because he could absolutely own people with his blade but he still was able to give up fighting later in his life.

One period of his that has received almost no attention has been the Second Punic War. Obviously Rome is all over the movies but it is always from the very late republic and/or early empire (Caesar, Augustus, Antony, Tiberius, Claudius and Nero's reigns). The Punic wars were time when Rome's Republic was at its peak of prestige and its men had a quasi religious sense of honor, duty and dedication to being warriors and that is how they not only survived an existential struggled but became lords of the Mediterranean and soon thereafter lords of the Western World. The glory and decadence that is now Rome's lasting legacy would never have been possible if not of the generations of thrift, sobriety, bravery and obsession with personal honor that were on display during that Second Punic War. That is story that has yet to be told and could potentially be very rousing.

1066 invasion of England

Viking settlements in North America

Mongol attempted invasion of Japan

Occupation of Palestine which led to the creation of Israel in 1948

There's a subbed version somewhere

I would like to see a movie on Jinnah. I just saw the film as he was portrayed by Christopher Lee (a great actor) but the movie was never distributed majorly in the west because of fear of muslim backlash which is a shame for such a good film. Christopher Lee claims it was the greatest performance he ever played

others:
the invasion of china by the japanese
six day war
Nobunaga and the warring states
Mao

OJ Simpson murder case movie titled simply as.... "White Bronco"

Pablo Escobar movie called "Medellin"
laugh.gif
, hopefully it would be better than the one from Entourage

Emmett Till movie

The movie would be so controversial due to all the war crimes involved.

It'd be cool to watch a movie of some normal Japanese citizens during ww2 and the movie ends with them getting nuked. i no  its random

.

I wrote a research paper in high school about the u.s war crimes in Iraq, it would be cool if they made a movie showing u.s support of Saddam Hussein and then the U.S turning on him.

I would love to see something like this done, and I concur with the Entourage statement.

From his perspective. A movie beginning from his imprisonment to his execution.

...lets do this, split the profit 50/50.

Not really historical, but it did make national headlines..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_P._Murphy

It's about a Navy SEAL who is from a couple of towns away from me. He was awarded the Purple Heart for leaving cover to try and let headquarters know that he and his troops needed to be rescued. And it could've never happened based on 1 little vote.
