\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

So I got rear ended few weeks back in my e39 m5, and now insurance wants to total it. They are suppose to call me tomorrow with an offer.

On the hunt now for another quick sedan, thinking e60 m5 this time. Thoughts?
If you're fine with boats, the old E55 is a torque lulz machine. Took it for a spin and almost fell out of my seat.

The E39 wasn't exactly a put in oil\gas and go car. I've basically spent 2-3K on my 540i in the past year and a half getting it ready for the next 50K miles. Besides the SMG pump on the E60, the cooling system is 15x better and I heard the V10 on the M5 isn't too bad.

Guys are wheel spacers made for specific cars? Or will I be okay as long as the bolt pattern is the same?

Sort of. If possible, always go with hubcentric spacers, which are made for the size of your vehicles hub (axle), and are less prone to failures. Lug centric spacers are the ones that are made for a specific bolt pattern. They are more prone to failure because the center hole of the spacer will be bigger than your hub (axle), so the weight of the car is being supported by your Lug nuts. With hubcentric spacers, the center hole is the same size as your hub, and the weight of your car is supported by your axle (and somewhat by your Lug nuts also).

With that being said, many people run Lug centric spacers with no issues. My buddy has a set on his xterra running 33" tires (heavy wheels is my point) for over a year and he's had no issues. But, I still think if you can get hubcentric spacers, do it. Better to err on the side of caution when it comes to spacers, IMO!

My '14 Si.

Had the car for a year and a half now. Finally decided to start modding it.

So far the list includes BC Racing Coilovers, Bayson-R front lip, Buddy Club P1 SF Racing Challenge in 18x7.5 +42 wrapped in Toyos, Project Mu lug nuts, Injen Cold-Air Intake, and Hondata Flashpro...Still need to order my Buddy Club Spec-II exhaust and race header...

Yeah I'm talking about hubcentric spacers. I just can't find any on the mustang sites that are smaller than 25mm. Found some that are the same bolt pattern as mine and 15mm which is what I'd like to push the rear wheels a little more flush with the fender but they say they're for Lexus/nissans

What size spacer do you guys think I should get? Would the 25mm be too much? My specs are 19x10 +48

25mm might be too much, 15-20 would probably be the sweet spot, Im the type to order all 3 and see which one fits best

I have competition studs on mine now so I can fit pretty much anything, I just go with eBay ones honestly.

need a better pic but it looks pretty good from this one. maybe 15mm front and 10mm rear might be fine.  rear looks pretty good already

@Sgamon  if you wanna make it easy on yourself, hang a piece of tape down from your fender and then measure from the tire to that tape and you will see exactly what spacer it would take to make it flush.

Honestly it looks pretty good as is to me. But I'd do what Nelson said to measure where theyre at, and maybe push em out just a little if you really want to.

I personally dont like the idea of spacers, but that tang already looks good as is man

I had my 09 si flashed with a password jdm intake. Loved how the car performed. Wish I could have held on to it longer to mod it how I wanted to.
I heard flash pro with the 9th gen Si makes the car a whole lot better

Edit: found a pic of my 09

How was the difference before/after flashpro?

I haven't flashed it yet. Waiting to get my full exhaust set-up first and then I will do it. From what I have read on the forums, intake/header/exhaust and a flash is good for 30+ HP + no stupid rev hang/engine bogging and lower VTEC engagement.

I picked it up used from a friend for only $550. He only put 3k miles on it.

What exactly is rev hang again? Idk if I should continue modding my Si or set it up for a trade for something with 4 doors.
