\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

Yup. They are delivering the cars in the Porsche delivery booths. AMAZING infinity ceiling that has so many LEDs. Looks like it goes forever. And makes the color INCREDIBLE!!!

Haha I knew it. I’ve been there quite a few times for Porches and I’m going to go check out that demo Lotus they have there. Your right it might be the best design dealership in the nation along with the service and sales folks.

I have my reservations on some of the people there. The Lotus manager strung me along for 10 months about me possibly getting a job for Lotus (they had just got the franchise). Told the assistant marketing manager in June 2022 (at a cars & coffee my wife and I went to with her Lotus, she just got it) my over 23 years in auto sales and he said to talk to such and such. I kept my name in front of him every 60 to 90 days with a simple email. NO bothersome. When I finally decided to ask in April 2023 if they were actually going to hire people for Lotus, he said they were only taking current employees. 🤬🤬 I was PISSED!!

At that time, I was starting to feel better (I've since relapse with more Crohn's issues including a hospital stay for severe dehydration and a 20 lb weight loss) but I know more about the brand, the history, the type of buyer and ESPECIALLY the cars more than ANYONE there. But no, nothing. I even paid $120 for an hour meeting for charity with the owner of RDS. I took that as a "sell myself to the owner" type. Still nothing! 😞😞 Their loss. I would have been eating, breathing the brand for them.

The Dark Verdant demo is a great car. I hate the color. It should have been a brighter Racing Green not this super dark green. But if you can take it out, definitely do so. You will be IMPRESSED!! Ride, handling, steering is AMAZING, the shifter is great (rifle-bolt is what many say). It's just a wonderful car. Even the seats seem to have gotten better than the prior UK preproduction cars. Seems they feel better, but still need a little more bolstering.

I hope they offer the race seats (Sparcos) from the Evora GT as an option for the upcoming Base model. If you can strip out some features, and have the manual seats, no memory (but keep heat) it would be AMAZING!! That and add the custom program for custom colors. 👍

Called two local Cadillac dealers about the Escalade IQ. Neither one has any idea when it will be here, what it will cost, or if they will even get one this year. I asked if they expect to charge ADM and both said yes. Not sure it would be worth it especially after Hummer EV tanked after first phase of buyers paid ADM.

Thank you buddy, I appreciate it. I was told the same thing by a few of my friends. Basically, the gist of "really want to work for a place that treats people who want to work for them like that" or something of the sort.

Yeah I did. And I admit it, even if I don't want to accept it. They would have had the right person working for the brand that's for sure.

And thanks for the well wishes. I'll know the severity at the end of the month as I get a scope. I have a feeling I know what my doctor will tell me. 😞. I really appreciate the words buddy. 🙏

Damn they did you wrong man. Everyone I have been there with or visited and bought cars or done business there has loved it but that was the Porsche division and McLaren. You would of been great being a rep for Lotus there but I am guessing that's when they had the new facility made and 75th anniversary and just wanted to retain current employees.

Thanks buddy. I mean had he told me like a month of two after my initial email introducing myself, t would have been totally different and I wouldn't have been bothered. But this long, I'm sorry, not professional. And it was one of the Porsche people who is the manager for Lotus.

They could have just had my handle all the new traffic for the Emira to start. Would have been a cinch for me. And after hearing horror stories from other customers on the Emira boards how their salesperson didn't call them back at their dealer, I would have been in CONSTANT contact with every person who had a car on order.

It's always good to have a salesperson, and it doesn't matter what the product is, who is passionate about the product they sell. They will be a more successful salesperson because they like what they sell, am a fan of product, or uses said product and that knowledge & enthusiasm will show to the client who will know they are dealing with someone who knows their stuff. It worked great for me with Fords for all those years.

But again, their loss.

I’ve had his videos come across my FYP for a while now. One thing I appreciate about him is how fair and transparent he is about his pricing.
He appears to be quite fair from what I've observed on TikTok. Particularly during tense negotiations, he often discloses the honest figures regarding the car's pricing. He allowed MKBHD to review the Fisker, which wasnt a good one. Fisker lead engineer initially dismissing MKBHD's influence., not knowing how powerful it was. It's time manufacturers humble themselves and recognize the significant influence wielded by YouTubers and streamers in today's landscape.

We owned a new back in 2013 and modified it. Still one of my favorite Lexus to drive. It feel light and eager. Interior has barely aged. No real problems it’s the trusty 3.5 V-6. Not the fastest in class but handling is sublime. Good room and trunk room.

I wish we got a new generation.

Sheesh that things is clean. Appreciate it man!

Great price. Pulled it up on MMR and wholesale (assuming condition report is around 4.7) isn't much less than the price they are asking. And considering what retail is at with the mileage, if it checked out, good deal. 👍

Plus the motor is the 2GR-FE V6 and it's bulletproof (it's why Lotus uses it in the Emira and in the Evora). Only thing I would find out is if you can get a Lexus extended coverage warranty for piece of mind (more so the electronics). Hope this helps.

Oh and if anyone wants a Manheim value run, let me know. Glad to help. 👍

Yeah, I remember when the first GS300 hit the scene, all the "ballers" had to have one. Unfortunately, over the years, sales declined and it was ultimately discontinued. It's not the vehicle's fault, but when you can purchase an ES, which is around the same size and cheaper, or the IS, which looks sportier, the GS just becomes obsolete.

Funny but at the time Lexus has 5 sedans
HS
ES
IS
GS
LS
Now it’s down to 3. We have seen the total takeover of SuVs in the past 15 years. GS was a tough sell being an enthusiast vehicle being sold alongside the IS and ES as you said. A dealer can easily say ES is larger and cheaper. We had a modified ES F sport and it drove nothing like the GS but was larger and cheaper to run.

Sad…. still miss the GS

You know how it is these days, businesses like that will take someone who can just talk someone into buying something and make them money than someone who is legit passionate about said brand or whatever.

Cant blame em really as it is a business, just sucks for people like you and buyers who want someone honest and knowledgeable.
