I'm going to need that joint on the left with the orange brim. Already have the other 2 in Cooperstown Collection format - green underbrim, not logo on the back.

They did tweak the logo ever so slightly; bigger "H" with different serifs and they added some beveling. Anything to get people to buy new gear. ;)

True. They can be incompetent, but they ain't stupid! :lol

I like the original version better though.

While we're on the subject of doing anything to get people to buy more gear... I'm surprised they haven't started putting award patches on player jerseys yet. (Actually, I think it would be kind of cool). So, for MVPs and CYAs - only these awards, can't cheapen it - the player who win get to permanently wear MVP patches commemorating the year. So, for example, no matter what team Albert Pujols is on, his jersey every year will have patches on the arm above the pipping with a 3 MVP award patches with the years 2005, 2008, and 2009 written stitched under them.

One of the problem those who hock team gear have is that a team's fanbase will buy a great franchise player's jersey and then won't need to do so again until they switch teams or unis. This would give a Tigers fan a reason to buy another Miguel Cabrera jersey.

I'm assuming he's going to win even though it should be Trout by a country mile.

It's been awhile since I posted in here or even looked in here. Posted my fitted collection a long time ago under another sn, but has grown a lot since then, thanks to this thread.
Just my Major collection for now.

kinda cool but i think a trophy is good enough....although, after seeing MLB bastardize the All Star game merchandise by putting stars on everything, i wouldn't be surprised if they did these MVP patches

I hear you. I don't think the idea is a no-brainer, but in terms of contrived marketing ideas to get people to buy more gear, it's better than many of the things they already do. Plus, it's a way to honor great players while marketing gear, as opposed to a lot of efforts that are simply hollow marketing moves.

can anybody tell me the best way to clean sweat strains in there new eras? thanks

On the sweatband or on the overall cap itself?

I don't wear New Eras daily like I used to so I just use a mixture of soap and water these days. In the past I've used Lids Cap Cleaner spray, water + soap and brush, water + soap+paper towel, and I think Oxy clean and water and brush...Removing sweat stains is difficult especially when the sweat has dried and settled. If anything, go easy on the amount of water/soap/whatever mixture you're using, and take it slow.

^ sticker will come off once it's worn. I never wear fitteds with stickers. Bought it when Lids had that 40% off sale.
