I actually don't think this is an unpopular opinion
Thought I wouldn't say they suck, I just can't really emerse myself into them anymore, especially since around 2010. Other than Madden, id much rather just hop on SF2, San Andreas or Capcom vs SNK than any current game that's useless without using a full walkthrough guide.

I'm at the point now where I'm mainly irritated by that annoying crying emoji that dudes use when something is funny, one that looks weird on Android so I have trouble describing it (it's eyes and mouth are closed?
), and heart emojis. Thankfully only two of my close friends use emojis.
