yeah the spirt is going to be a lot like sin city visually..the man behind the comic of sin will actually direct the spirt...Frank Miller.. i got the chance tosee him at the NY Comic Con he dressed up as the spirit..it was cool. I am just happy that frank is going to right the adaptation of this.

Can someone please explain The Incredible Hulk to me?

I thought that was JUST made into a movie like 2 or 3 years ago.

That's like SpeedRacer being made into a movie in 2010.

Am I missing something?

Y'see, the Spirit has always been the type of comic book character with a lot of deep pulp roots. He fought thirties-style crimebosses and slum lords and all that stuff that makes him "the hero of the middle class". Frank Miller took that, the "grimand gritty" style that makes him interesting, and ratcheted up in his ridiculous way. I understand where the kernel of his ideacame from but I just think its bad form and it'll give mainstream audiences a bad or at least confused impression of the character. The current Spirit series manages to tell very well crafted and intense crime stories keeping in Eisner's tradition without having to be ultra violent forthe sake of style.

This is a reboot. Kind of like what Superman Returns did to the Superman franchise, picking up from Superman 2 and disregarding 3and 4. Incredible Hulk starts from where the last movie ended but stylistically will be in a completely different direction.
