what a mind job. but remember that over 60 years ago, professors were entertaining the theory of satellites beaming individual signals to devices that would allow you to communicate with anyone in the world at any time... and that computers would become part of everyday life, that there would be at least 1 in every house. as preposterous as that sounded then, how preposterous does this sound today?

True, but in some of those cases there was actual scientific theory to back up scientists claims on such things. This video does nothing but speculate. I mean the first video has Google becoming one of the biggest corporations in the world. How many companies do you know that can survive 50 years of being the leader in its field? Eventually corporate culture has negative effects. But anyway I'm ranting, I agree with a lot of the predictions the video made i just believe that only time will truly tell.Originally Posted by JustScoreda100

i'd compare google to a coca-cola, xerox, campbell's that is a fixture or leader in their industry. when you think of searching for something online, most say "let me google this"... it's like making a xerox, although you may not be using one, instead of making a copy.Originally Posted by finnns2003

yep. and they will continue to innovate.Originally Posted by Barack 0drama

Gmail is the best email provider IMO, Their search engine...Self-explanatory, Google Earth/Maps...
I agree with you when it comes down to brand name recognition. Google is one of if not the most recognizable online brands. But comparing Google to coca-cola, xerox, and campbell's is a little off base in my opinion, for instance coca-cola produces soft drinks which is an industry that is not as large or competitive as the internet industry. Its a lot harder to remain a consistent and viable company in the industry google is in. But once again, only time will tell.
well, i mean, it's more about being the strongest company and innovating, continuing to innovate. coke has stayed at the top with otherproducts, and innovations such as coke zero. it's a different industry but the idea is the same.
google has a ton of cash reserves and a very smart executive board.
