Vintage has more Platinums than me, but only around 800 trophies.
It's sad, man. I won't go rent Hannah Montana or anything, but if game is cheap and looks even vaguely interesting, I'll check the trophies and scoop it.
It's kind of good in a sense, as I have tried some games that I might not have normally. Pure Football looked like trash, but turned out to be an awesome soccer game.

Once you get them, you need something like 18 million gil to upgrade everything.... and the best drop you can sell (that drops regularly) is worth $50,000

The trophies in that game are ridiculous. I beat it before trophies were patched... I have been putting off going back through.
Max Payne 3 re-emerges in Edge cover story
Last week's Max Payne 3 teaser from Rockstar has turned out to be a surprisingly timely lead-in for Edge Magazine's latest cover story. Edge posted the cover art for its new issue today, featuring Payne (back to a full head of hair), and noted that the magazine would hit UK newsstands on April 12. Of course, it's already in the hands of some subscribers -- and you know what that means.
While few details can be gleaned from the short excerpt that Edge itself posted online, full scans and article summaries have emerged across forums and gaming sites, spilling all the beans. The Edge preview gives no indication that, even during all this time laying low, MP3 has undergone any starts and stops -- it's still set in São Paulo, Brazil, and Payne will still be all bald and brutish during points in the chronologically nonlinear plot (the game's missions are going to bounce around).
Instead, the article suggests that Rockstar's meticulous pursuit of perfection has slowed development to a crawl (the release date is still noted as "to be confirmed"). Lead development studio Rockstar Vancouver has labored over delivering "a more fully realized cinematic experience," according to art director Rob Nelson (in Edge's excerpt), using NaturalMotion's Euphoria animation engine to blend the cinematic and interactive elements of the game into a seamless experience -- and Edge marvels at the result in the level demonstrated to the magazine.http://
"And though this is a more linear game for us," Nelson adds, "people want to be constantly surprised and entertained in new ways." Of course, "the main mechanic is still shooting" and MP3 will retain the series' core gameplay features -- bullet-time, bullet-cam, shoot-dodge, dual-wielding and health pills -- while building in new elements, like a cover system that's still being tweaked. (No further word on multiplayer.)
Perhaps nothing is more indicative of Rockstar's commitment to getting the game right than the decision to bring back James McCaffrey to voice Payne (despite an earlier report to the contrary). Not only his voice, but McCaffrey's full acting abilities will be on display, as he and other actors have been recorded in group mo-cap sessions. Rest assured, Max Payne 3 is another big-budget Rockstar production that sounds to be humming along in high gear. "He's coming" -- no doubt about it now.

Need to head over to a local Barnes & Noble and check this out.
Would be dope if R* manages to get the game out by the end of the year.

New Uncharted 3 info; plot, characters and motorcycles
Friday, April 08, 2011
Issue 57 of the Official Playstation Magazine has an exclusive look at Uncharted 3, as well as a chat with the developers, which brings to light a bunch of new information regarding story, characters, and sand. Endless, endless sand. The magazine should be available in stores now.
- Drake spends most of his time exploring the Arabian dunes of Rub' al Khali.
- The game features "all the things you'd expect in a desert" - including sandstorms and mirages.
- The sand creates a 'dynamic environment' for Drake, with altering geography.
"We've done a ton of research...The way sand blows over and curls over the tops of dunes, the way it displaces and flows - it's almost a liquid" - Amy Hennig, Creative Director
- Drake and Sullivan are in the Empty Quarter, looking for the Iram Of The Pillars, a kind of Arabian Atlantis.
- Not all locations are dry and arid; you'll be taken all over the world to places like London and a jungle temple.
- The story is based around Lawrence Of Arabia, and his fascination with Iram Of The Pillars.
- Bike sections are all but confirmed. There's a newspaper cutout in the teaser trailer that mentions motorcycles, and Naughty Dog says "We have a strong tradition of vehicular gameplay, and we try not to repeat ourselves".
- The story to the game is still being written and altered, but villain Katherine Marlowe is part of an secret order that dates back to Queen Elizabeth I.
- Drake's Deception will most likely not be his last outing; "The Uncharted franchise was never conceived as a trilogy"
- "Of course, there are recurring characters from previous games" - I guess that's Elena confirmed, then?
- There's a new melee system, with features like Drake picking up a bottle from a table and smashing it over an enemy's head. There are also new stealth moves and mechanics.
- "We'll be sure to alert everyone if a public beta is in the works this time around".
There's loads more info, as well as brand new screenshots, within the silky pages of the magazine. We implore you to rush to the newsagents and snap Issue 57 up now.
