Ok well J. Dilla has produced some of my all time favorite songs. So I started reading up on dude and his life story is pretty crazy. Im asking for some of theolder heads to help me out and tell me if its worth it to download everything i can get my hands on. Im downloading donuts right now. Thanks for any help mylate night nt'ers.

Don't get everything yet, experiment with some of his stuff. Try slum village: fantastic vol:2 first. If you like what you hear then download another. If where your getting it from won't let you do that, then get the whole thing.

Meaning all 3 gigs of music?

Basically, start with all the Slum Village work, I wouldn't recommend starting with Donuts unless you've listened to instrumental albums before, otherwise I can see how it would be underwhelming for a first time listener.

All his solo albums are gold, i recommend Welcome 2 Detroit and Donuts.

Once you've got all his solo material you're ready to attack the Soulful Genius Series Vol. 1-12

yea, you're looking at upwards of 3 gigs of music

Just started over with my ipod and searched for this thread.

PM me for some DJ Premier and J. Dilla stuff...
Feels like I found a box of gold!
