I agree. His image would NOT have changed after 1 game. We all know that.
And I find it pretty hard to believe allen that you'd willingly give back 6 or 7 mil of YOUR money just b/c THEY no longer want you. Not calling you aliar. Just find it really hard to believe that you'd be so willing to give up YOUR money if you felt like YOU were in the right.
Yo, I think a lot of you are plain frontin'.Originally Posted by LazyJ10

Do what you're being paid to do is too much to ask? He could have gone out there and half assed it for all I care, but the point is, you're being paid to be a basketball player.
t3b asked a legit question. If YOU were in a similar situation, how would YOU react? I'm guessing a lot of ppl here have blue collar jobs and have run intothe occasional prick supervisor. You mean to tell me if your supervisor was !!*!%** with you.... publicly humiliating you, lying TO you and lying ON you, thatyou guys would be all smiles about it? That you guys would be willing, ready, and able to do anything this supervisor asked when he suddenly needed you? Doubtit.
Anyway, if Steph went out there and half assed it like you said, then it would have been a whole other controversy.

No matter how the past of Marbury is judged, this time he is doing the right thing.
I hear where you're coming from. But I don't put any of these dudes up on a pedestal like that. I look at it like they are employees at ajob just like you and me.Originally Posted by LazyJ10
My only point is, you're being paid and exuberant amount of money from a contract you knowingly signed, if you don't like it, shouldn't have shown up at all. The organization has the right to call on you, as a professional, even if you deem it disrespectful.
For instance, you may or may not make more money than the guy at your local Mickey D's. Does that mean that you're expected to do whatever your bosstells you? However he tells you to do it? No matter how rude or condescending he speaks to you? The guy at McD's (according to your logic) would say yesb/c you're the one making a lot of money and should be happy with that while he is getting minimum wage.
Do you hear how crazy that sounds? Just b/c someone is making more money than you does NOT mean that they should accept being treated like less than a man.
I don't know... I guess I see this as a union vs management type of issue. And most unions would be all over D'Antoni's $#% for creating a hostilework environment for his employee.

And there are definitely teams that would sign him now.
Word.
And there's already an established list of teams looking to snatch Steph up. Heat, Celtics, Spurs and at least 2 others I don't remember right now. That's what was reported on ESPN about a week ago.
