man, what? no way. wilson is the goods no doubt but luck is just filthy. he could easily very well be the greatest QB of all time if not, at worst, one of the greatest once he hangs upWilson is a flat out beast, period. I honestly believe he's better than Andrew Luck.
If I'm starting a franchise and I have a choice between the two I'm taking Wilson without the slightest hesitation.
Of course it's not true, the stats don't bear it out at all... It's completely perception based on what some folks want to believe.I get the perception that Russell Wilson is carried by the running game
But I don't think that's entirely true
The Seahawks lead the league in rushing by 408 yards but you have to remember Russ counts 800 yards of that
You take away those rushing yards and the Seahawks, they drop down to 12 around the rushing attacks of teams like the Packers, Chiefs, Saints, Dolphins and Eagles.
It's the 'without the slightest hesitation' that really throws me
man, what? no way. wilson is the goods no doubt but luck is just filthy. he could easily very well be the greatest QB of all time if not, at worst, one of the greatest once he hangs up barring injuries of course. if there's such a thing closest to sure thing. it's luck and his to be greatness.
More or less.they are both evry good quarterbacks and both are instrumental in their respective team's success. that's all that matters
Whats wrong with your neck?
Wilson has proven to be more efficient than Luck while having far inferior aerial weaponry.
The way Luck sees the field and his uncanny awareness of incoming defenders coupled with his elusiveness makes him the deadliest QB in the league sans Rodgers.
The guy has been playing behind the WORST pass blocking offensive line in the league since he came into the league. He extends and makes plays pretty much no other QB in the league can make. This isn't hyperbole, these are facts.
And the kid is only getting better every day. Just wait until they get him a true big play receiver (one who isn't chronically injured or is a bipolar malcontent like Harvin).
The kid is a transcendent talent, one that has really never been seen in the league. Dude does some truly unbelievable things on the football field.
Marshawn was always been a good back but he went to another level when Russ came there
Might as well get the HOF bust ready
I guess he didn't technically have to throw the second most touchdowns all-time over his first two seasons, he just did that anyway.
Russell Wilson is so good that he doesn't even have to throw for touchdowns for his team to win: as seen in three games this season. He didn't even have to account for *any* offensive touchdowns in two of those games!
When you're so amazing that you manage to score points without scoring points, you are the GOAT.
Russell HOF Wilson 2015 #CantonOrBust
What those things have to do with Wilson's statistics, success, and skill level I must be missing.I can only hope that future QBs in the league can get their defenses playing to the level that Russ gets his. The amount of work that he puts in with Kam Chancellor to allow him to jump piles and pick off passes is enormous. The ability to shut down one side of the field, as evidenced by Richard Sherman, is incredible. The fact that he made Earl Thomas a household name is one of the greatest stories in sports. Don't even get me started on that defensive line... his work is monumental.
Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, and Richard Sherman definitely gave him the #1 all time playoff passer rating.
You're just going crazy creating straw men.No, a playoff game against a 7-8-1 did that. But that's neither here nor there... don't you DARE try to downplay the great Russell Wilson's legacy.
There are some players that are much more than simple athletes: they transcend the sporting world. Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, that ginger that snowboards, Muhammad Ali, Tiger Woods, Joe Montana, Pele, Carl Lewis, Jesse Owens, and now Russell Wilson.
Forget comparing him to Andrew Luck -- where does Russell Wilson sit on the Athlete Mount Rushmore?
I currently have him between Wilt Chamberlain and Usain Bolt. Another Super Bowl ring and he's jumping Mike Tyson and Jack Nicklaus.
Our boy Teddy is on his way to doing just that.I can only hope that future QBs in the league can get their defenses playing to the level that Russ gets his.
