Question about Retro VII french blues, to anyone who owns a pair (oxidized kicks?)

I copped a pair of french blue 7s, waiting for them to come in. the seller mentioned in the auction that due to the fact that they were made in 2002, that theydon't suggest wearing the shoes and that the buyer wear the shoes at their own risk. I made a thread asking NTers who had french blues how they held up andthey told me they would hold up fine.

I then asked the seller to explain what he meant, just to see what he would say, and he sent me a message saying that due to the moist climate in Taiwan (thelocation of the seller), the inside of the shoes might be oxidized already and would be better for collecting instead of wearing


Should this be something to worry about? inside of shoes already oxidized? I know French blue 7s hold up, but since theyve been in a moist climate would thatraise the chances of them falling apart upon wearing?
