R&B was actually great this year in my opinion. Alot of people been puttin out nice albums.
 
Yeah I didn't wanna look at the whole list but I did spot these:
"R&B + MTV + Way I Are + T-Pain"

and I don't like the look of it.

Somebody get a top 10-15 or even 20 if we feel like it list started, then the rest of us in the know can discuss and edit it cuz damn

I just realized a way to listen to artists like:
T-Pain, The Dream, non-social-conscious-Akon, and too-thugged-out-R.Kelly
without being mad at what the game has done to "R&B" or even feel guilty for liking some of their work:

Don't see them as R&B.
See them as the new millenium NEW JACK SWING.


Think about it.......I ain't mad at Teddy Riley at all.

at MTV tryna look all in the know by putting the Ne-Yo/Mary and TGT remixes like "Oh yall ain't up on this!"

smh at them deciding of all the Lloyd songs to include, they choose "Get It Shawty" and NOT "You"
????????


And although it may have dropped within the last 2 weeks of 2007...
Mary's Growing Pains album is a MONSTER

It's like R&B been wack since the new jacks came thru and earned top billing
But Mary's back to restore the feeling
Forget the club, more healing
More...heart...more soul, more filling!

... I feel you dog. I mean hell.... I be bumpin theyrecords when I wanna have fun. That's exactly what they are good for. I just hate it when all the people that don't know anything try and pass themoff as the best in R&B when they ARENT.

I disregard anything that MTV says, that list is geared towards 14-16 yr olds

i'm shocked that Tank made the list

2. Beyonce (NOT R&B, but its acceptable)
3. Justin Timberlake (NOT R&B, again acceptable)
4. Akon (NOT R&B, off the list)
5. R. Kelly (WAS R&B, not anymore..TRASH now)

7. Alicia Keys (Yes, she belongs here)

9. Ne-Yo (R&B, he should be 10 on this list)

This year was such a great year for R&B, a lot of great albums came out. They need to change about 92% of these lists. Add (Musiq Soulchild, Joe, BobbyValentino, Carl Thomas, Jagged Edge, Jaheim and there is a few others that can be added!
