Whitney obviously had a lot of phenomenal records but I don’t think any had the contemporary flavor (that still holds up IMO) that that one does.

I kinda blame Clive Davis for that. He vetoed a lot of collaborations during her career. If Whitney had her way, during the early-mid '90's, she would've probably had an entire album produced by Kells, more early New Jack Swing heat from Teddy, maybe even JD later on, but he wanted her more in the "pop" lane.
