This is getting ridiculous. Its the middle of June for gods sake. Tons of MLB rainouts and rain delays.....and now the US Open has stopped play?

East Coast FTL.

Come on, dog. The Giants went on a road trip this month that included stops in DC and Florida.

Every single game in these two cities were either rained out, delayed by rain, or outright shortened.

With the unbalanced schedule, any of those games would have had to be made up at the end of the season. You want to compare that to earthquakes?

That's straight Fail-boat.

Watch this turn into a East Coast > West Coast thread.

LA won't always be sunny. At the rate that the San Andreas Fault is moving, its predicted that within the next three centuries that it will continue todrift North towards Alaska.

I actually meant to make this thread back then.

That was absolutely ridiculous and had to be extremely difficult for the pitchers. The US Open beingplayed in June and having weather problems is a joke.

I was coming in here to say "why can't they just play in a little rain" but I just looked at ESPN and saw the rain that is falling - that'sunreal.

It's what you get with outdoor sports though.

While I think that rain is part of outdoor sports and always will be, there really should have been requirements for teams susceptible to tropical Summerweather to have domes or retractable roofs in their stadiums.

The Marlins might actually be able to develop a fan base had they been in a dome like the Rays.

Okay, maybe not.

100% disagree.

Obviously I LOVE outdoor stadiums and prefer them over indoor ones. But to say you would rather have a game delayed or not postponed than to play the gameindoors is absolutely ridiculous, and I dont believe that you honestly think that.

indoor stadiums are lame...nothing like baseball on a summer night under the lights and a clear sky....or an afternoon game where the sun is out and you'repounding down 10-12 cold ones to stay cool

Wow man...That's like $75-$90. I can't even imagine what you're like at Foot Locker.

I'll gladly pay $75 for 10 seeing that 10 would cost me $100 at thestadium.

So Boston hasn't had many 80+ degree days yet either, huh?

I'm fully convinced it's going to be 100 degrees every day in September.
