Rallying: The only sport where it's more dangerous for spectators than drivers

Not sure if any of ya'll are into rallying, but check out this clip....it's from my favorite era, which was "Group B" in '81-'86. That era was basically "no holds barred", and as long as 200 copies of the car existed to be sold, the manufacturer could make it as fast as they wanted to, which is eventually what led to the demise of the group....they were too fast. As spectatorship grew, more deaths occured and even drivers lost control of the cars (one drove off a cliff in '86).

For example, the Audi Quattro's you see are AWD, Turbocharged and have 600 WHP...

Porsche's have been rallying since the 70s....man, I went once a rally event and Its wilderness and trees...Watch at your own risk
