Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

I had the 22 track and the 26 track version. Some say they removed it because he couldn't get the sample cleared some say it was cause GM didn't want P using Cadillac in the song

And the original 504 boys Mystikal p and Silkk, not what they actually released after c and Mystikal got the cases 😂
Lol, hated that mess man

Here in da A, I can’t blame no one but Pastor Troy lol. No, he wasn’t fully responsible for the fall. Mystikal left, KLC, rise of Cash Money…just didn’t hit the same with all that happening, then the diss. Troy dropped that track at the right moment, to his benefit. No Limit was still up there, but was dropping too many projects while losing key members of the team, losing momentum.

Man there was a mixtape I had back in the height of the PT and P beef. My boy Q brought it he had just moved here from Atlanta. It was called 404 boys vs 504 boys. I wish I can remember who and what was on it but I know there was some PT, Baby D, Hitman Sammy Sam UNLV and a bunch of other people going at P and No Limit 😂

No order:

Ghetto D - Master P
My Balls and My Word - Young Bleed
She’ll Shocked - Mac
The Streetz Made Me - Soulja Slim
There’s one in every family - Fiend

That Slim album crazy underrated. I liked that one better than his first.

Though Ghetto D is a P solo album, the many features gave it a compilation feel. A lot of the talent signed to No Limit was showcased through that album, reason I have it at the 1 spot.

Surprised to see Sons of Funk on a list lol. I thought the Mo B. **** album was better. Like seeing the Big Ed album as a honorable mention, solid album. The Gambino Family album was decent too. Had a few standout tracks on it.

C-Murder Bossalinie>Life Or Death IMO

I was ****in with you on that Alias song, **** was funky but Boss over Life or Death is wild.

Didn’t like Big Ed’s flow or that Gambino album.

Sons of Funk album was nice.

Lil Soldiers **** was dope for a 7 and 9 year old.

Big Ed’s album has some decent tracks. But I agree his flow wasn’t all that. That Gambino album had a few tracks stand out due to features, not them lol.

Life or Death was good. I may favor Bossalinie more due to some memories I have with it. 9th grader on a high school trip in Florida. Had some senior dudes lit when I played the last two tracks from it lol.

its dope but, say a ***** name.

Joey and conductor are a great duo though
I never really checked for Joey before. I loved his last album so I’ll definitely peep this one.

Also I need to go back and bump the Boldy/Conductor project. I didn’t know he was bubbling like that.

I wasn't a fan of boom bap Joey. this current version is tough though. He could always rap but his music just wasnt appealing to me.

it was his recent feature run that really sold me on him.
