Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

How?

Not saying I disagree with you but I just want to know how people decide what is more lyrical than something else.

Well, "better" is definitely an opinion. But I personally just feel like the bars were a little more clever. The father had to stretch his hands/30 hours line was crazy. I think the track being on an original beat made it better IMO too.

Maybe I should say the track as a whole is better IMO. I probably won't play either track again, but If I had to pick one strictly to listen to, I'd go with Drakes. He did, say "y'all made it as easy as ABCs" on the track, so it definitely wasn't a complete lyrical onslaught :lol

Y'all talking to an Aubrey stan. Him and Stop Cappin or whatever his name is are the only ones still defending and deflecting. Wavez disappeared cause he knows it's a rap.

Budden murdered Aubrey too but people seemed to let that one go for whatever reason.

"So I take all the guns, load half the clips
I just notice you run, we mention half of Clipse"

"You leverage your celeb, taking waves over
That's territorial takeover
Maybe he thinks nobody notices
Gucci wasn't home two seconds before you rode his ****
Bodied Versace flows, copy, that he stole
Ay dios mio, sorry Migos, adios amigo
Was that your plot all along?
Why you ain't do that vid with Fetty but you hopped on the song?
No really, we want a Party album
But you keep stealing all of Party's album
To go and put it on your party album"

Budden's disses were good, the problem is in the real world _'s don't give a **** about bars like that in general . Especially when there's a huge popularity disparity like that, all those disses might as well have not even existed

Back to Back was a whole lot of "I didn't wanna do it to em" and jabs about his girl making more than him and _'s was acting like Meek was gonna have to go back to the trap and start breaking down halfs to get by

That's why you have to come at somebody like a Drake hard

This is funny because in real life he talks a lot. Cats built up his mystique like he on some mafia ****, speaking with his hand covering his mouth and ****. The public usually only hears from him when he’s popping his **** on rap a lot albums, so this is shocking to everybody not from the city..he be in the mix on the regular. Granted he be surrounded by like 10 goons, he’s an approachable dude most of the time.

See how quickly yall turn on a *****.

Ya'll was just bigging up Prince back when that 69 **** was going on. Now yall talking greasy about the guy

Drake at home while J. Prince goes on a media tour defending Drake.:smh:

:lol

This is going to be funny I can imagine them being apprehensive to make jokes. Also interested to see Mero energy when Pusha is on this week, because he had a lot of venom for Push on twitter like he was trash. had me thinking Pusha skipped them on his promo run, but they were off.

Huh? I’m not ****ting on him, I’m legit saying most people think he walks around ice grilling cats and checking folks. I meant approachable, like he’ll stop and chop it up with cats and give em the game. Not that he ***** :lol

I need to see the episode with J Prince, where can I see this? I no longer have VICE.

Can't compare Infrared and Duppy. Infrared was the trap, Aubrey fell for it with a full length diss. So in my book you compare Duppy and Adidonis and Pusha wins that one. I give Pusha another point for the picture. And Pusha gets another point for Aubrey's statement. So I got it 3-0, you could even argue 4-0 with all this extra stuff with J Prince and supposedly him offering 100K.

Duppy is WAAAAAAYYY better than Charged Up and Back to Back.

Drake saying "You older than the ***** you running behind" when Push is literally 1 month older than Kanye :lol. That's what I'm talking about. It sounds good from a rapping/dissing standpoint, but when you actually look into it, it just doesn't sting as hard as the "facts" that push came with (hiding the baby/baby moms, using black culture, when you aren't actually a part of it).

Yeah I wouldn’t stick with it longterm.

Worked when I needed cable real quick but didn’t want to pay for it.

DirecTV Now is my go to now, though.

idk then cause that chatty stuff is corny to me, this may come off like i’m defending drake but nah, that whole “i ****ed your *****” etc etc...I’m here for facts, like how Meek had the right tools to really get at Drake (reference tracks) but went about it all wrong, where he could’ve capitalized on it since he had hard facts
So you wasn’t with Drake when he said “last year I had Drama girl, not right now”? Come on.

Directv now being trash for me too now in one room :lol

Ever since the update, it hasn't even been working. I ain't watched TV in two weeks :lol

It’ll prolly be up on YouTube later tonight. All their interviews go on their page after it airs.

Well then.

Do you have an older streaming box? I know they’ve been trying to get me to upgrade my first gen FireTV for months.

Prince was on TMZ calling Pusha a pig in the mental. And Drake shouldn’t get in the pig pen.
He also said no L’s for his side.

If dude doesn’t respond, there’s nothing else to talk about. Son took the L.

J Prince is looking out for Drake if the reports of his response mainly being aimed at Ye are true

Would've been another L going with the misdirection play instead of keeping all that energy for the dude who actually brought the smoke

Dude probably told him it isn't worth it especially since Push is on record saying he's still got more content on deck if needed
