Wayne first album dropped in 99 dawg. He ain't even get that good til Carter 1. Carter 1 and 2 are the only Wayne albums I still play today. All them goofy mixtape bars sound bad today cuz he recycled all of them. I just don't look at Wayne how a lot of y'all do. Never thought he some beat rapper alive.
Based on Em's first 3 albums he's higher on my list than Wayne.
Wavy drunk off mimosa's
Wayne was not looked at as no southern street rapper back then. BG was.Wayne didn’t start spiriting “goofy mixtape bars” til he went pop after loli pop.
He was already a decade in...and was known as a southern street rapper and member of the hot boyz before he went Pop.
Nobody was saying Wayne was “goofyl from 02-07. We gotta kill that RIGHT NOW.
Real talk...I’m sipping orange juice and rum right now
Close enough. Just sippin, waiting to geek to my guy Bobby Brown
Hell ****in no
Do I put him about Black Thought, G Rap or Monch
Nope
Much less more popular rappers

His music was always geared towards young and dumb ****. He was always a clever dude that just made nonsense sound good. That's why all these new rappers and new fans love him and are influenced by him.
That’s your opinion of course. That’s the problem with debating music tho, we all here it differently and have different tastes and preferences. Everyone’s Top 10 is different for a reason.
I’d like to hear your explanation without looking at it subjectively tho. ie in terms of not only MC ability (writing, wordplay storytelling, flow and delivery, cadence, etc), but also cultural impact and impact on rap, classic albums, originality, relevance, sales and hits, etc.
Where exactly does Em land on your list? You named some great artists and Black Thought is in my top 10 too, but definitely not over Eminem considering his track record.
no orderHad anybody ever put serious thought into naming their top 5 dead or alive rappers? Dont even have to really rank but who do people feel are the overall 5 best to ever do it? (Counting groups too)
new generationI don't give a **** about cultural impact or relevance.
Because you guys constantly leave off people like Melle Mel, Chuck, Ice Cube, Rakim, KRS, Kane, LL on your list. In fact you act like the first 20 years of hip hop didn't even exist.
Then give Eminem bonus points for it as if he invented or stated something.
You mean they influenced you personally or the genre itself? My favorite rappers are mostly based on influences probably.
If tracks like lose yourself , renegade, till I collapse, amityville, Stan, forgot about Dretrash music usually doesnt

I don't know if age plays a factor, but I'm sure I heard or read somewhere that a younger human is more "malleable" and receptive to certain things. You mean they influenced you personally or the genre itself?
People STILL don’t think Em is top 5 GOAT?
Jesus.
If tracks like lose yourself , renegade, till I collapse, amityville, Stan, forgot about Dre
Didn’t age well for some of you, I don’t want to know what songs have aged well for y’all
Hernandez keeping that same energy
