Quavo's Travis bitin is just glaringly blatant at this point

Its a give and take

A big part of Travis sound is based around just being a darker polished “mainstream” version of the ATL trap sound _'s like Future, Thug, Migos etc birthed to begin with. That “straight up” adlib he literally just unashamedly ripped off early Future along with multiple melodies

Days Before Rodeo was basically him grabbing all the OG Lobby Runners and getting into that world sonically. So idk if you can really fault any of them for wanting to turn around and get into the sonic world he basically built off their backs.

OUT THE gate, Trav was in his Cudi/Autotune stuff. Houston has just as rich a music history as ATL. Houston gave us lean/syrup, ATL gave us trap music. It’s a borrrowed cause bruh.

Y’all need to stop discrediting Trav. Future was a traditional TI/Jeezy/Gucci type emcee with no autotune, and traditional production...

as someone who remembers the first time i heard of travis being “that ***** crazy” (which sounded like some Cudi/MBDTF ****) and the cruel summer sin city snippet in 2012...

there is def a big transformation from his pre Op music...to owl pharoah...to dbr...and since dbr he just been an artsy lobby runner with Ye’s Dre/Puff style of producing.

also, Future never really switched his style up that crazy aside from Honest to Monster once he made 1000 and went on the run that got him popping.He was always a melodic street *****, although maybe moreso around Pluto and ****.

He one of the reason t pain was out the paint bc we now had a ***** who could do what Pain did (in a sense) but was making it sound more “street”

We not talking bout no fashion here man . We talking about sounds/musicality. Travis def bit Future, Quavo, Keef, Swae Lee, Thug, Ye etc. Its undeniable. Over time...he’s developed his own sound. But he def took them styles, added them ***** on his projects and ran with it.

Future was born from the Futuristic wave. He was blowing up off the heels of Yung LA, J Money etc....who were DEF using melodies and auto tune. Roscoe, Travis Porter etc too.

That’s late 00s ATL. Future just mixed in more street **** with his and expanded the sound and had his own ****. But he caught that wave of music too.
