Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

So many of the talking heads keep creating new shows and stuff, starting to get saturated if they keep going:

SOTC
Budden Podcast
EDS
Drink Champs
Rory/Nore got a show coming up
Brilliant Idiots
TBC
Mal/Biggs podcast?
Elliot Wilson/Tidal
Pull Up

Etc etc

Wait i thought Nore/ Rory was a joke but yeah i only Listen to Joe Budden , brilliant idiots , itsthereal and Wax podcast

Cole gotta have the longest tenure of push back for no reason. Him being a legend shouldnt even be debatable

Big 3 Era figureheads:
era: Pac Biggie Nas
era: Jay Z DMX Eminem
era: 50 Cent Nelly Ludacris
era: Lil Wayne Kanye TI
era: Drake Kendrick Cole
era: No Clue

its other legendary rappers that fall under each era but nobody bigger than the faces of the era. And i dont see nobody on that list ppl went out of their way to hate on more than Cole. If we werent fans of one we just let em rock and paid em no mind. Times are different now.

It is debatable. He doesn't even have a classic body of work. Just 2 or 3 great projects

I have no problem putting Cole as one of the legends

I think the pushback comes from him showing he could be greater than some of his more recent output, it’s like he hit a plateau, but still shows flashes via guest verses

Kendricks work has been getting better over time IMO, he has yet to miss, and he cares for his craft/presentation

Drake is an artist I thought would go in a different direction musically but what he’s doing now (whatever you label it) has been successful so he stays in that lane, I also think he could/should do “more” but he’s more focused on sales/records at this point, which he’s good at so why change
