Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

You must have Amazon Unlimited I think they legit have everything. But as far as Spotify, Apple and Tidal the only Hot Boys album they’ve had since I been streaming is Let Em Burn. Guerilla Warefare popped up like a month ago, BG’s albums and Get it How U Live popped up today. Funny you mention UNLV album that just popped up on Tidal/Spotify a few weeks ago.

You know what, I do have that one  they really do have a ton of stuff. Only things they have missing are certain No Limit albums I’d want to revisit, mostly from the people that just had one-off NL albums, like Gambino Family, Prime Suspects, and Skull Duggery. I’m just glad I still have hard copies of a lot of stuff, even if those hard copies are cassettes

Why they hatin on the Chasers?

Why do we automatically assume every artist wants to be this super popular Type A celebrity with dreams of conquering the rap game? :smh:

Everybody got different goals. Some _’s just wanna make a living doing what they love and live comfortable. I think its pretty clear at this point bruh is very shy and has no desire to be all that. He seems pretty comfortable with his solo role and position within the group.

I keep forgetting the homie @mrwavez is 17. He don't understand certain ****.

He caught some serious charges, I know he rich and white but damn. How does he beat this case. This **** is real.

He probably been doing that **** for years. Rich men pay for p**** all the time. I wanna know why they decided to get him now.
They raided a bunch of them in Florida. Seems like he just so happened to be going to one to get some therapeutic handies, and they caught him on tape.

Ole boy probably been doing it for a while, his luck just ran out.

Because the obvious logical choice to many people is to maximize your bread...”be all you can be” in a sense.

I get it, I just don’t understand it if that makes sense. Not judging him but just saying...if I’m in that position I’m going to attempt to be the biggest I can be. Maximize all profits and legacy.

ESPECIALLY if your profession is literally doing something you love. You have no choice but to go hard

We talking about an artist, that’s like some investment banker logic my _

Everybody don’t sub to the same hyper capitalist American Dream as unbelievable as it may sound. Maybe his primary goal in life isnt to squeeze out every dollar he possibly can.

Look at somebody like Frank Ocean. He leaves all kinda bags on the table with how he chooses to move. He could be milking the **** out of his brand but bruh barely even does shows.

Take is 1/3 of one of the biggest hip hop acts in the world. There’s _’s out here that are perfectly content with FAR less than what he got going

On top of that, he’s an introverted niche/specialist rapper. He’s not a big chart topping hitmaker. Not too much bigger he gonna be able to get without changing some stuff about himself.

Keith and LOD used to be wild boys

Famb got caught up at a rub and tug joint

Ole boy could hire a high class escort anytime he wants to come to his place, but he outchea livin flagrant

Robert Kraft looking for $80 specials is crazy

That's the funny thing.

Like him going to McDonald's for the 99 cent items. Other than that I don't see the big deal. Dude is 80 years old, not married and wanted to get his viagra on.

We talking about an artist and you using investment banker logic my _

This. Take didn’t even promote his own album, this dude don’t care about being popular.

MSNBC had him getting charged with trafficking, don't know if they were wrong or Kraft already getting off (pun)

Reading the thread backwards and thought you were talking about schoolboy q. Bruh does just enough to stay relevant and pay his bills
