Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

I think School Boy is another case of a rapper not feeling it anymore. The rapper lifestyle, the fame etc. When he was wylin and chubby and lean sippin he made his best ****. He's in better shape now, look like he's taking better care of himself and when you listen to his interviews he almost sounds like a dude ready for retirement and it shows in his music. It fell off. He sounds like he just wants to raise his daughter away from the cameras and all that personally is great.

Just something I been noticing from him.

Did u even listen to the album? Tyler rapped on just about every song on IGOR, and Mac Miller has never won a grammy.
I wouldn't really call that rapping. Not in the traditional sense.

I listened to Igor feeling like Tyler rapped on 3 tracks. I ran the album back in shock thinking what the **** is this? Or perhaps I downloaded something fugazi.

Like for instance, on the single Earfquake. That is not rapping. That ***** sang a catchy/good song.

I honestly think TDE is gonna go full GOOD music this year and drop everyones project, obviously i don't think it will be a weekly release. But they haven't dropped much recently outside of reason.

I get this from him as well. I think I started to see it around the time he was on the press run for blank face. His mans had just got sent for the long walk in jail or he passed away, one of the two, and Q was just giving off the “none of this rap **** matters” vibes imo.

His music has fallen off. I gave Crash Talk one full listen and deleted all but 2 or 3 songs.

I’m at the age where I don’t say ignorant **** like “get back on drugs” anymore. So I’m happy for homie’s progression. Get your money and provide for your family; that’s man ****. I can appreciate the old music for what it is, and if he drops heat moving forward I’ll check for it. But his fire seems like it’s out as of now.

Speaking of the devil. New video from the preacherman :hat :hat :hat . Bars!

“We can't never let 'em break our mind
We gotta stay strong, conquer and don't divide
How come at peace, my heart already set on fire?
If it ain't color, what's the difference between you and I?
I'll let you decide or come up with some repeated lies
I'm just tired of my kind gotta be the one to die”

2020....Super & Baby running it :hat
