Big Sean in 2020 is terrible. Everything he’s dropped in the past few years has been outright phony. He was mediocre at that time. Basic level rapper....who ran with the right crew at the right time....then dated a succession of pop stars and heart-throbbed his way to broader appeal.

He was never as good as Wale. Big Sean & Tyga are in the “same tier”. Doesn’t mean neither of them haven’t had moments or good records in their prime.

Idk about holy key (never heard), but I always thought big Sean had the best verse on control. I remember hearing the song and not thinking much of it and then the next day or two it blew up. Kendrick might have the most overrated verse ever.

When you sign a deal it's based on years or albums. After Mase's first albums success they re-worked the deal and he got more upfront money, but Mase only produced one album. It's bad enough he "retired" before Double Up. Hell, even with a wack album and no promotion from Mase it still did pretty good.

Mase was disingenuous with the 50 situation acting like Puff was just holding him hostage. Yeah, because you weren't recording albums now all of a sudden you want to.

Puff was in a tight spot, because how can you take someone to court who found the "lord", especially when Puff is supposed to be "religious".
