Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

NT is doing that thing again where ya'll let what impacted you & your portion of the city far outweigh the OVERALL consensus, From the Live to social media......... this is the only place i've seen people saying Mannie dominated

Also ya extra Horny ****** gassing the weight of that one song in favor of Mannie Fresh   , Back that *** up is Amazing in specific settings. That ain't some **** that ****** just riding around bumpin on the humble

We ridin 'round bumping these though

I can keep goin...

This got me thinking that Fresh could go up against pretty much anybody. Too many blassics. This man carried a dynasty in the 2000’s for Christ sake. Let alone gave y’all the OG sound for your beloved Carter 1. This was no comp in my eyes.

NY dudes in here musty and hating per usual though.

You know it. Even Just Blaze gave it up to Fresh. Great way to put it.

This was a bad match up honestly. Cuz fresh **** ain’t resonating with white/non hood folks. That **** was a moment in a lot of our lives. Lean back, make it rain, candy shop, lighters up meant nothing to ME. I can see why people would give it to Scott tho because those were the tunes the masses heard over and over.

it’s girls whose mama got pregnant after grinding on a ***** at the club to Back That *** Up getting pregnant off the same song 22 years later

**** ain't even a beat battle, its catalog + Playlist comparison contest. I can see why that tweet earlier was posted about guys making **** live from scratch. Skill will overcome in that scenario

Edit: Now that I think about it of you could you just play your 20 favorite songs from 2 producers and do it yourself. Don't even need the actual producers aside from color commentary

Idk a song from ‘98...that is indeed a MUST have, in a current playlist. And not just on some, nostalgia...”old school block”....but a part of an active set.

It transcends. And it’s stunning.
