donell Jones vs Jaheim

Better yet Marques Houston vs Omarion

Lloyd can get Mario

As far as R&B is concerned, the gap between them isn't that big. They both opened for Janet in the '90's and '00's. People tried to pit them as rivals when G was rolling. There's also the glaring omission of R. Kelly that brings them even closer.

Yeah they catalogs are about even, I might give the edge to Ginuwine.

Usher is bigger than Ginuwine though. The public would be more on Usher side just off of his mainstream success. Ginuwine was a black superstar.

From 96-2001, Ginuwine was batting like Ted Williams or Tony Gwynn. He was damn near perfect. He was bigger than usher from 96-98. Usher reallyyyyyt took off in like 2000/2001.

“My way” was 1998? So yeah. After 2001 cats ain’t want that pressure. But Ginuwine was beastly

Well hol up, My Way sold like at least 4 mil. Usher always had that young Bobby Brown type of appeal w/o the cocaine. The TRL crowd LOVED Usher. Ginuwine vibe was more grown up. People forget G like 10 years older than Usher.

F all that I want to see Maybach-O, Chris Brown and Usher in a dance off

I’m offended you ain’t mention.....The DRAGON 🐉 🔥🔥

*****s really don’t want smoke with shorty.

Usher had the appeal from the tv shows and movie appearances that G didn't have. Musically, the line was drawn at 8701. They were both chasing that MJ ghost up until that point. G had the jump with the showmanship and dancing, because he was impersonating MJ as a kid. He's also a generation ahead of Usher. Mike turning down "U Don't Have to Call" and G falling out with Timbo kinda pushed Ursher further ahead.
