Bruh...Lil Baby moving 100k a week, on 6 songs as a deluxe album...with all the momentum. And y’all still don’t see it. Super in 2015, was only for those who KNEW, until Drake bigged it up. Only a few of us, was really rocking with the 3peat...until it caught on 4real.
Think y’all just a lil lost. We not seeing a ***** come straight outta NOWHERE, off the street/out the sell....and be dropping hit after hit...project after project for 3 straight years.
Shorty debut single...still getting burn. We just farther removed from it, and saw it at a coming of age level etc. But he MAJOR right now. And been scorching.
I honestly just feel like you don’t remember when Jeezy hit in 05. You listed all that stuff about Lil Baby, but you’re leaving out that in this current era, people are dropping their albums and being awarded “gold” or “platinum” the next day. Don’t think he “came out of nowhere” either, he had the same come up as a lot of other rappers, just so happens he’s with what’s probably one of the hottest labels in the game. I really don’t see what the comparison is with Jeezy other than being black and rapping. Lil Baby is a big artist at this point, but he’s not close to 05 Jeezy at all.

. Shorty came straight out the chitterling circuit. Ran it up in a couple months on quality music naturally. He a trapper, that new Guwop, Pee, Coach K, Thug, Nipsey etc off the strength on some street ****.They forced him in the booth.
His first few tapes and songs....were super low key. But on a street element, where you had to KNOW. It was for sure a ground level build up. I’ll never forget being in AUC, 2017...and seeing people naturally gravitate to it on the ground level....while the rest of the world was oblivious.
I don’t think some of y’all truly understand real numbers in this era. Everything Lil Baby is doing...is tangible in any era. The numbers are there. The quality is there. The critical acclaim is there. He’s operating on a high level, that very few new rappers reach. Put your generational or regional bias aside and recognize. Shorty unique.

This is facts tho. Future wasn’t scorching out the gate like that, took him bout 5 years. Even then, social media helped take bruh to the mainstream.
