Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

My Dad started checking out on hip-hop in the late 90's and buying more R&B. He borrowed my "It's Dark and Hell is Hot" CD for the 12-disc changer in the car, and eventually bought his own copy.

Hated Snoop on this song, his energy was so off. I usually cut it before his verse but this song stupid. KLC a fool for this one. Wish it was a solo C song.

Damn, Money Cash **** or Down 4 My is like asking me to pick a favorite Timb

Shocked as hell these ****** remember a majority of their lyrics lol.

I’m not surprised cause they’re either big songs or very notable ones. It’s not like they were doing multiple mixtapes a year throughout their careers  I have zero reason to believe Gucci Mane would remember something from Brick Factory 2 or Gas

cmurda was def a curve ball. wasn't even snoop's best verse imo. both of them singing nate's verse was dope :pimp:

lyricism and wordplay are most certainly NOT the same thing.

i could explain the difference but ion feel like it. but they arent.

now, there is a small amount of overlap but for the most part, they are 2 different skills.
I agree but it seems like people look at it as the same thing. I never know which people are referring to when discussing lyricism
