Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

The funniest thing about the Jay Slander that comes from Nas stans about Jay is that everything they slandered Jay for doing the past 10 years Nas is doing now

Son Owns a very successful VC company & is doing big business with them same white people they swear jay worship, but they wanna treat this ***** like he in the middle of a cypher with a Kufi

n_’s talkin down on 4:44 now. Lol

nas stans are the worst.

nas album took as long as it did to release bc of 4:44. That album set the bar pretty high and nas had to put something out to compete with it.

Remember, “nas album done” the song released in 16. and what happened to that material? N_ knew it was trash so he scrapped it. Lol

jay locked in with one producer for a whole album, and whadaya kno? Nas does the same s***. Lol

“i show you how to do this son!”
Man shut up

If anything, Life is Good was an influence to 4:44.

I haven't listened to that song with Jay and Pharrell but I'm assuming he didn't mean literally buy FUBU clothes. Probably meant buy For Us By US.

Even when he was rapping about other brands, he still had his own brand in Rocawear. I hope it gets "cool" again to rock our own designers instead of luxury Euro trash.

They could be dropping Lil Wayne type creations. Crazy Jay and Nas ain’t washed. But Wayne is

Wayne ain't fall off in the actual skill of rapping tho, it's the content that got old & predictable. And with the music Wayne shifted into it should have been expected. Personally Drake is there for me now, but he's somehow managed to escape the criticism of it.

That's why I told dude he invested in black businesses, invested in a buy black app and promoted black businesses across the country.

Too many people are used to Lil Wayne metaphors.
