Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

Meh. Those videos have always been corny and the dude who does them be reaching for a cheap laugh. Not blaming TI for cutting that **** short.

I respect the fact that he’s trying comedy. Nothing wrong with getting out of your comfort zone.

Dudes be real “shut up and dribble-ish” when it comes to a lot stuff. Dude from the Cosby show got ridiculed for working at the Piggly Wiggly and the video posted of Fred from “the band” venting about not being able to work a regular job.

These people are human dawg. Get it how you live. Ain’t nothing wrong with exploring new avenues and not being pigeon holed.

Look what it’s done for Joe Budden, Ice Cube, Ice T, etc. I’d be throwing s*** to the wind too and whatever sticks and is profitable, I’ll do it. No matter my celebrity.

Because if TI go broke, people gone be quick to say bruh wasn’t smart with his money. F*** that.

Ice T, LL, Ice Cube made more off acting than rap…

Magic Johnson made more off investments and business than sports. Same as Mike (Although Jordan brand still is a sporting brand and The hornets are a NBA franchise) he made wayyyyy more off business, than his actual NBA salary.

Jamal Mashburn also. He has tons of food franchises. Entertainment/sports should be vessel for bigger and better opportunities……

Don’t even think TI’s doing it for any other reason than wanting to try something new. Dude’s been rapping at a high level for 20+ years. Can’t be mad if he wants to try something else. It’s like those older dudes who have successful careers in more conventional fields, and then sign up to learn how to play the guitar or join a basket ball league. Gotta do what you gotta do to keep yourself happy as the years go by.

I think it's more so how a comedian would have actually handled that situation versus someone who takes themselves way too serious.

These remind me of Dadas lmao

Come on bro you know these comedians be sensitive as hell also. They’re the first ones to try to give a critique on some “you though that was funny?” type steez

Dude, besides when Kevin Hart was sensitive with his wife situation, I've seen dude go back and forth non-stop at the drop of the hat. This is a dude who has 50 million jobs, raking in millions. He's never thought of himself as being above the profession and is a naturally funny person.

Most comedians will have a come back. Plus I'm from the block, where we're always loaded and ready for a comeback.

TI came off like a principal like he is always going to lecture somebody getting his Napoleon complex on.
