On one hand...
on the other...
Rosa Parks in 1955:
Black women in a brothel in 1955:
We aint gotta diss nobody to be somebody.
Stay in your lane and mind your own business.
Saying the "older / younger generations" was this and that makes no sense.
People just people Fam.
I was only born in the 90’s so forgive my ignorance but did they have songs/music back then where black women cosplayed as the girls in the second picture? because I think that’s what people have a problem with today, not the fact that girls like Cardi or JT/Caresha simply exist in the real world
this song is not about a chair :
Whole genre called "The Blues" Fam
[Intro]
Now, you heard the rest
Ah boys, I'm gonna show you the best
Ma Rainey's gonna show you her black bottom
[Verse]
Way down south in Alabamy
I got a friend they call dancin' Sammy
Who's crazy about all the latest dancin'
Black Bottom Stomp and the [?] prancin'
The other night at a swell affair
Soon as the boys found out that I was there
He said, "Come on, Ma, let's go to the cabaret"
When I got there you oughta hear me say
[Chorus]
Want to see the dance you call the black bottom
I wanna learn that dance
Want to see the dance you call your big black bottom
That puts you in a trance
All the boys in the neighborhood
They say your black bottom is really good
Come on and show me your black bottom
I wanna learn that dance
[Chorus]
I want to see the dance you call the black bottom
I wanna learn that dance
Come on and show the dance you call your big black bottom
It puts you in a trance
Early last morning 'bout the break of day
Grandpa told my grandmother, heard him say
"Get over here and you show the old man your black bottom
I want to learn that dance"
[Chorus]
Now I'm gonna show y'all my black bottom
They pay to see that dance
Wait until you see me do my big black bottom
It puts you in a trance
Ah, do it Ma, do it, honey
Look out now Ma, you gettin' kinda rough there
You better be yourself now, careful now
Not too strong, not too strong, Ma
I done showed y'all my black bottom
You ought to learn that dance
This is from a musical tho fam apparently according to description. That’s kinda taking this outta context compared to just making standalone songs.
I see where you going but this is closer to Trina “I gotta *** so big like the sun” from 20+ years ago than what people have a problem with today….
But I feel y’all the energy been there to an extent.
Peeped that on the news not too long ago. Yea man Prospect, Atomic Bottle and Kamp around the area. I never had issues when going out there. But lately it’s been rough. A security guard got killed at Onyx a couple of weeks ago. Condolences to the sista.just around prospect park where it happened, that area ain't to bad. but if you out here in the after hours still enjoying your night, you gotta keep you head on a swivel.

Nothing else he can do except get one of these ig **** pregnant. Waiting on that wes tapeFacts. Gucci need to be pushing him. I guess he do but people still ain’t caught on
Damn I know some 30 and nearing 30 year olds built like boudin forcing themselves into jeggings will take offense to this.Ak is a fat herb who feels like he has power and clout, because of his internet platform. It's when you give the dweebs the power. He's going at Ebro, like he wouldn't do the same **** and play favorites. He used to hang from Drake's balls thinking it would get them to be besties and he would be hanging out with him like he did XXX. Same with Nicki, until she chose Meek over the little fat incel. Would he make a playlist with Freddie Gibbs?
The weird **** is I see a lot of 30 year olds saying they speak for the youth. You don't. When someone was 15 and 16 they didn't consider 30 to be young. Look at Uzi's comments a few years ago, and he was already almost 25. At 30 you should be an example, instead they see goofiness like with Soulja Boy.
A lot of these "dusty" rappers careers were done by 30, because rap fans considered them old and no longer speaking for the youth. By the time NWA came out Run DMC were done and they weren't close to 30. LL was really the first rapper to have some sort of longevity.
Now it's a bunch of 30 year olds trying to appeal to 16 year olds, ****s weird. I blame the culture and black men, because it's not enough older respectable dudes and that sure as hell isn't just money. There's no Farrakhan.
First time seeing Nas, wu tang and busta tonight
Excited for the show
