given how much messed up stuff there is on the internet, i realize that ive become extremely desensitized to pictures of women (unless extremely risque), tame kinds of porn, any type of violence, etc etc etc

im sure i cant be the only one. so. how desensitized are you?

I'm still pretty normal. I would still trip if I see people dying. We have it way better when it comes to this compared to alot of third-world countries. I mean seeing women and children getting killed is alot more traumatic in person as oppose to the internet which is still behind a screen.

Just to put some perspective on what the internet has done to the world, imagine watching 2girls1cup in 00'.

I can't even pop a b dog looking at playboy.

Seeing things online doesnt garner a reaction from me. Seeing things in real life is different.

Straight up. I'm at the point where I actively look for the most shocking *$*@ I can find just to see if I have a soul still.

seriously nothing surprises me anymore, even with horror movies i just laugh now...

i think if i saw someone get shot, i would call an ambulance, stay with the person 'til they get there, then go home and it wouldn't effect my life at all, i probably wouldn't tell anyone for months...

I'm still fairly sensitive, by today's standard, towards images of gruesome violence/death. I've never been one to look those things up, maybe I just avoid it purposely.
Nothing really shocks me when it comes to displays of sexual behavior

. I find it interesting to see women do some of the most sexually deprave acts just for a few hundred dollars

Still though, if someone from 50 years ago saw he things on the Internet, they would be shocked

I can safely say that I'm in tha same boat as OP (yet rape and medical violence just gets to me smh)

Having observed autopsies and unfortunately having to help turn over the deceased really descensitized me to dead bodies and such. Working in a pathology lab made seeing colons, hearts, livers, brains & dead babies common place. I'm sure it messed me up a bit in the head.

Me neither. I was actually relieved when the "movie" Mordum made me super anxious. (Thanks, James Earl Zones)

rotten.com aint @!## to me, 2Girls1cup was just funny nasty, got over goatse fairly quickly, joint with dude and the glass bottle is still pretty painful.

Refuse to watch Mr. Hands.

I saw that movie A Serbian Film and it wasn't even as bad as I thought it'd be, just Newborn porn part was pretty sick everything else was tame and some even predictable (like the last 20 minutes).

Nothing really hits a nerve anymore....

being online since the early years has exposed many 20+yr olds to some crazy stuff (maybe the kids today see stuff too but not sure)

In the hood you see and hear a bunch of crazy stuff too. Like no other human scares me (kinda weird I think)

basically.

To graphic stuff, I would say I'm pretty desensitized...I mean I still rather not look at the grotesque but it doesn't bother me. I was looking at my power point lecture on forensic pathology and just wanted it to end. The first few pages I was like this is kinda cool, a few charred bodies later I said aite this is kinda disturbing.
