Lost my Pops in the summer, trust me, I feel you on " What's the point " question. Then I realized and remembered that great times we spent together and it automatically clears everything up, makes you feel good. So for me, I think I'll be happy living knowing I'm enjoying my life with the ones that I truly loved which is very limited and also leaving them with a great memory even if it's just one. Also, my dad always told me that "he lives right and enjoys life making sure that when he leave us, it will be just right" I never understood what he meant until he was gone!

Who in their right mind looks at life like "what's the point?"
Do you have any idea how fortunate you are compared to others around the world? You know how many dudes in other countries would give their left nut to be able to sit up and waste time on the internet in the comfort of their own home/office/dorm?
You could be on the Gaza strip right now duckin' and runnin', you could be in Darfur watchin' your mother die just 'cause it's Monday and somebody felt like it was her time, hell - you could be in Gitmo locked down and tortured - but you're not, you're on Niketalk asking about the meaning of life because you saw Benjamin Button. I mean, really?
You'll find that you'll probaly have less questions about life and worry less about loving people who will eventually die when you start being thankful for your life and the people in it.
I don't know you from a can of paint, but this thread comes of as super emo - to that I say this, just be thankful for what you have and the people you're close to my man. All that "worryin' about death and the meaning of life and everyday it rains" - %%%@ that - instead of lookin' at it like that, look at it like "how many different ways am I blessed, and what do I have to be thankful for?"

I get what you're saying. Although obvious sometimes I tell myself that all the time. Yes things can be alot better or worse but when I tellmyself that It's a way for me to really look back, look at things in a perspective and gives me a humbling mood.Originally Posted by Nawth21
It's not that serious. Everyone questions the point of existence at one point or another.

And in what way is "be thankful" dumb and rather obvious?
