Recommend me a NYC New Years Eve 2008 Event/Party

A group of friends and I are visiting NYC from Dec 28th - Jan 2nd for the first time.

All of us are over 21 and don't mind spending the cash to have fun.

I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on what to do for NYE in Manhattan?

Would you go to a party? Times Square (probably not haha)?

If you would head out to a party do you have any suggestions? What part of the city is poppin' on NYE? (We are staying in Battery Park)

Anyone know of any parties in NYC that are going on for 18+ tonight for New Years?? I'm visiting from GA, and my boys and I are tryin to hit up a party butwe can't find any clubs that will take 18 year olds. Please help me
