If you are really willing to go to the unlocked route, which I STRONGLY recommend, here are my top 3 choices:
1.
Nokia-N96.JPG

2.

3.

Knowing T-Mobile, probably $250 after rebate.

If you don't mind going the unlocked phone route, I'd say pick up the Nokia N95. Now you can pick an unlocked one up for around $300. If you don'tmind spending more, get the Nokia N95 8GB or the N96.
But if you're trying to stay with T-Mobile, then you're limited in your choices. For a simple music phone go with the Nokia 5310. For atexting/internet phone, go with a sidekick. And if you would really use it to it's full ability, then a Blackberry wouldn't be bad either.

had g 1. returned it. phone was coo for a couple days then it got on my nerves. anyways, i went back to a sidekick. looking to re-upgrade again

I love the G1, I've had it for about a month, its easily the best phone I've ever had.

The Wing is way overrated in its original form, lots of features but unless you do like my friend and customize the crap out of it and put a platform on top ofthe windows mobile so it doesnt even look like windows anymore, then I wouldn't really recommend it.

Get a Blackberry. They're so great. I had a Curve but I left T-Mobile for AT&T and the iPhone. I miss T-Mobile service though.
