Nothing against the original but I definitely feel they pulled it off it in the remake.

Disagree with this. Let The Right One In is one of my favorite films. Let Me In was good, though.
I loved Let Me In it's one of my favorite films ever..... and so is cloverfield (flame suite on) which is why I was so hyped to see it and I loved it.

I didn't bother to watch Let the right one in because the last time i did this..... i saw the departed than saw the japanese film (forget the name) i was so bored and hated that it was the exact same movie.

Heck no! The orginal was way better and Gene Wilder was better then Johnny Depp.

I liked the new Casino Royale over the old one. And on a side note, I just read that they are going to remake Total Recall. Wow.
Agree with everything.  The recent Casino Royale is probably my favorite movie.  I saw on my cable guide that it was on and was disappointed when it was the original.
I think Colin Farrel and Jessica Biel are in the new Total Recall.  They should never remake Arnold movies.  He has a lot of classics and this is one of them.  One of my all time favorite sci-fi films.  They will never top the 3-boob woman scene.

I strongly disagree on those two.  Those are two of Wes Craven's best.  The 2000's remakes just had more blood, which didn't make it better at all

I believe he meant that the Carpenter version was better than the 1951 version. Technically the recent release (that came out a couple weeks ago) is a second remake.

Agreed.
This hasn't released yet, but I think Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo might have the potential to out do the original.

If someone comes in here and says Halloween they gotta be trolling JUST GOTTA BE trolling

I see someone already has done so, well if you're serious about it, I guess you aren't trolling, it's your opinion.....I just can't see it.

far as the newer crazies I'd say its 8/10 movie, didn't get to see the older one but the new one is great all the way through.

The Newer Dawn of the Dead is a 9/10 movie, I'm sure this is the best one, I don't remember seeing the older one though.

house of wax? black christmas? amityville horror?

usually it's hard to top the original horror films, but I don't know.

I think Let Me In came out way too soon after LTRO and LTRO was incredibly well made, unlike the og Dragon Tattoo, but the things they improved on (like how he killed people, the mask, the car scene, the neighbors, the way they organized the story) were so strong to me, that I think if you can forget LTRO and look at Let Me In on it's own, it's right there and better in some ways. I'll give you that cgi scene though.

and I think Fincher's Girl is gonna be better easy. The original wasn't that well made, but the story and Lisbeth were great. Dude can improve all over the place without breaking a sweat.
