These prosecutors suck. His story never made sense. Why would he automatically think it was an intruder in the bathroom? All he had to do was ask if his girl if she was in there. Feel bad for her family not getting justice.

I'm not defending him at all. But the B&E and armed robbery rates of privates homes in South Africa, is ridiculously high. Thinking there's an intruder in the house is common practice.

I know there's a lot of break ins in that country but he saw his girl wasn't in the bed. Why would his first thought be it's someone who broke in and not just his girl peeing in that little room where the toilet was? The he thought it was intruder excuse always sounded dumb to me. He couldn't knock on the door and say " Reeva, you in there? Ok, cool". I think people who break into houses would probably use the bathroom beforehand.
